MI9SE
Thank you kater for your advice. As I mentioned uninstall reinstall magisk did not help. I had this idea too, but as I mentioned I deleted the old ROM version for this reason I can not try it. I asked somebody to share the old version with me, but nobody did until now. Maybe @ingbrzy could help with that.Uninstall magisk or flash the old rom. If you flash the old rom and its up and running, then magisk is the cause or read this thread…
And it is helpfull if you describe what you did in detail. I have a MI9 as well and its working like a charme

Think the newest update broke my Mi 9's wireless charging and I don't think it's the charger. Anyone else have this issue?
Mi 9 Lite still Android 10MIUI 12.3 20.12.9/10 said:It's LAST Android 10 update for Redmi Note 8, Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Lite, Mi 10T/Pro, Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9 Pro. Next updates with Android 11.
Due to preparing for MIUI 12.5 release MIUI beta updates are suspended starting from 14th December
Same here. Spotify and Edge icons missingSame problem here again on my Mi 10 pro.
What I found in MI forum:
This device uses Android Verified Boot (AVB)
This means that installing TWRP or swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot. To bypass AVB's boot prevention, you will have to disable it or install a custom ROM that ships with disabled AVB.
To disable AVB via fastboot, grab the vbmeta image from the ROM you are on, and flash it with the following command:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
AVB should be now disabled on your device.
I think the verification should be disable here. Maybe this comand it's missing in the last update?
I uninstalled Magisk completely (/data/adb empty, no modules) and installed the ROM with TWRP. After wipe cache/dalvik, system reboot the phone returns in fastboot mode.Hi try this… I have described some solutions if you have challenges with magisk and boot issues.
Check post #1023 / post #276I uninstalled Magisk completely (/data/adb empty, no modules) and installed the ROM with TWRP. After wipe cache/dalvik, system reboot the phone returns in fastboot mode.
Thank you, I followed instructions in that post (disabled AVB) but nothing happened, the phone reboots in fastboot again.Check post #1023

Thank you again, but in my opinion flashing the "old" ROM version would help if I had it. Would somebody share with me the previous xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_20.12.28_v12-11 ROM version. On my Mi9 it is working... no issues. Before you format data, reset the phone or install a fastboot image can you try this two things:
Regards Kater
- extract the "boot.img" from installed rom and flash it with "fastboot flash boot [boot.img]" and reboot
- try to start in Safe Mode
- Safe Mode (This is not the "Recovery mode" or the "Fastboot mode" )
In case your phone shows a lot of errors and you cant handle them because there are a lot of pop up windows or you want to deinstall something from magisk as example ... try the "safe mode" only some important standard apps will be loaded:
- Power off your Android device and then power it on. You can also use the Reboot or Restart option.
- You will see the Powered by Android logo and MI logo on the boot screen, If they disappear and the Screen ist black, press and hold the Volume Down key down so long till system ist loaded
- The System will load and you will see a watermark... Safe mode
- Deinstall the app with the error / analyze the root cause of the issue and so on ...
- Reboot the phone to get off the "safe mode"
- Perhaps after loading you have to disable AirPlane Mode
Thank you again, but in my opinion flashing the "old" ROM version would help if I had it. Would somebody share with me the previous xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_20.12.28_v12-11 ROM version.
