Hey guys! Coming from ion-OS on whyred, do i need to flash a default firmware too or its enough if i format data?

Format data is necessary and enough.

hi there, if you are using the MTK version of Redmi Note 8, I think EU devs has dropped the development of EU ROM for Redmi Note 8 Pro ( mtk variant ) due to some bricked i guess?

They have posted something about it somewhere on previous updates.

Anyway, found some bug(s) on my Lavender:

1. Setting your Display Size to "Large" on Accessibility Menu causes Nav Bar to disappear. Only reappear when reset to Small and Extra Small.

Can't use AA with dual apps. You have to remove dual apps account.

Has anyone else had random reboots in Mi 9?
I found 2 bugs on latest version:
-When swiping to the right to access lockscreen shortcuts (several times), after rebooting shows "find my device crashed".
-When trying to record screen from lockscreen.

The same in MI10 and high RAM consumption

Seems you "data" partition is no more encrypted.
Have you flashed something like "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip"?
I was in the same situation and eventually forced to format (not only wipe) "data" and let the OS encrypt it after reboot, to get the fingerprint option back.

here is my scenario...

Today, I decided to clean install this ROM, during setting-up of phone, it ask for fingerprint enrollment, I touch it with my right thumb, and it register one line, then I change my mind and touch it with my left thumb to continue the registration and finishes it with left thumb...

And now, I can unlock my phone by both right and left thumb even there is only one fingerprint enrolled in my phone....pls see the attach screenshot..

This also works with 5 fingers!
And with fingers from me and my wife too?
1 Fingerprint of several persons.

I think it's a feature, I'm using this method since nearly half a year: Several fingers enolled in one fingerprint ;-)

The auto-rotate screen stops working after a while. Reboot helps, but not for long..

No, i'm not install nothing except magisk..but now i removed it..
But, if I'm not mistaken, xiaomi.eu has encryption removed by default??
So, the only way is wipe and format data??

my Note 7 is encrypted after formatting data and reinstall the "xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote7_20.5.21_v12-10.zip" rom.
Check your status under "privacy" or use ADB:

adb shell getprop ro.*****.state

to get encrypted you need a twrp that does it.
Check with your phone's relative what release they are using to get well encrypted.
If not available, you have to modify fstab file in order to force encryption. (have a search here for topic about)
Don't try to encrypt via the phone settings. Most of the time a boot loop is resulting.

i just accidentally enrolled my 2 thumbs thats why i posted it as a question if thats even possible,

but after your reply

i tried it myself again today, i enrolled one fingerprint but a combination of my 10 fingers, and YES all my fingers can now unlock my phone with only one fingerprint enrolled... thats incredibly awesome....thanks for confirmation

A little feedback, MIUI 12 on Mi9SE running well, not find any issue or bug so far minor setback for me is cannot back to previous app with slide + hold from side, now slide on the bottom. For those having issue with banking using SIM, give permission always on get device info. Wear OS notif run very well

I'm having some issues with this build on my Mi9 - it works fine, but every day it hard reboots out of nowhere. The first notification that pops up is: "Find my phone has crashed" when it restarts. I'm using pi-hole at home (not sure if it blocking ads / chinese IPs is causing a crash of find my phone).

For the rest very smooth release.
