But ginkgo only supports 60fps,it says there it will trigger if it's higher than 60fps,streaming apps only runs at 30fps in eu ginkgo like twitch and youtube
Same basic fact applies. it is controlled by the battery and performance app With info gotten from Xiaomi servers.
Try clearing data of this app and see.
Streaming apps will most likely work at 60fps for a while before data is updated from Xiaomi server again

restart

Redmi Note 8
Magisk 23.0
It may not be magisk causing the lag.
As other users of same device have reported, the ram management isn't so good on this device.

But you can try uninstalling magisk to see if that helps.
:)

do we have a way to test the fingerprint scanner? I am unable to add a fingerprint because after a while the process ends itself. I just need more time! Is it a related problem to the fact that i changed my LCD screen?

Thanks.

Gents, I just did some quick checks on my ginkgo. The refresh rate as expected (this is not a variable display rate device) for this display is locked on 60Hz no matter the application (tested youtube and Netflix using the show refresh rate option). On youtube as well and I got to see a 1440p60 video with no frames dropped, so I see no issue (used Stats for nerds), it drops frames on 2160p but nowhere on the spec sheet for 665 does Qualcomm claim that it can do 4k 60fps playback. What is the discussion here exactly?

@zandatsu said he had dropped frames and somehow attributed this to widevine
I'm only trying to explain why dropped frames happen in the general sense

This is a bug in the estimation of the battery life. It is pretty easy to see it.

An easy test to see is buggy and that estimation around 24h ( depending on the device ) remains somewhat static is this:
Enable dark mode, watch what is telling you, disable dark mode, it will recommend you to turn in ON and save 1h++, turn it on,
watch the estimation. Nothing changes.

Ignore that in the weekly ROM, what you have to do is to set up your phone the way you are using it, after that, enable USB debugging and run:

adb shell cmd package bg-dexopt-job

( search the forum for a howto )

Once you've done all that, plug in the charger, turn off the phone and charge to 100%.

Turn on and use the phone as always.
tried but the command doesn't work

A belated welcome! :)
Normally you would start looking under post #1 and especially under post #2 for the Changelog.
The changelog will (as the name suggests) notify some of the major changes, as well delays, etc.

Hint: under #2 it says:
Delayed devices:
cepheus

(Which is your Mi9)

Glad someone is bothering to figure out where the information on deleyed updates is. Thanks! No doubt the developers will do a tremendous amount of work during the week and I am very grateful for that! We could still respect each other because YOU do it, but we buy it (I mean phones!)! Have a nice day! :D

I don't know if this is an issue with this rom or with my phone or with what but i have been bothered by bluetooth always asking if i want to allow an app to start it. Even though i have selected to give permanent permission to the apps to start bluetooth it just doesn't seem to work like that. Constantly using some apps that use bluetooth is really annoying if i have to give the permission every time i try to use them. So even if this question doesn't belong here i would hope to get an answer.

And my phone is k20 pro.
