Depending upon which phone you have, you would use a recovery app (e.g. TWRP) and just install the latest ROM 'over the top' of the previous one ('dirty install'). This should not interfere with any of the apps and widgets, or their positions, and all of their data will also remain.

I own a Mi11(China Model) and I was using until now the Global Stable 12.5.5, I decide to install for the first time on my Mi11 the current beta version 12.8.18 and I'm facing a strange behavior when charging the phone, I'm charging the phone at night and the last two days I awake because I was listening to the sound of a smartphone when we connect the charger, there was a loop of the sound that the charger was disconnected and connected continuously without touching the charger and the cable at all, the problem solved after making a reboot of the smartphone, this problem appears twice the last two days that I'm using the current ROM. As said, you can update without problem. The only wipe after update that you should do is dalvik cache, DON'T wipe user data or anything else (your pictures etc are on data partition) - then you could update without worry.

People are not even able to understand these are not the official Xiaomi forums, or that their device is not supported, you really, really underestimate how much people would flash the ROM in a heartbeat and then cry.

I had that error especially when turning on gps. I could get that to work by deleting all app data and cache from 2 apps -> permissions and (don't know the English word) "right manager"

After that all apps ask again for their permissions. It seems, that i blocked gps in one of them (how ever i did it.

I've been without my Mi 11 for about three months. Due to a defect, it was exchanged and I had to wait forever to unlock the bootloader again. Finally yesterday I was finally able to unlock it. Before that, of course, I updated to the latest China version 12.5.11.0 After unlocking the TWRP booted here from the forum, I flashed the latest weekly and set it up after a booting process lasting about 3 minutes. I have to say, a lot has happened since I last used the EU. The system runs smoothly and I haven't seen any bugs so far. My Sparkasse app runs even without root, PayPal works and payments via NFC. Widewine Level 1 is also available. Thanks to the devs for this fantastic ROM.

Have the same issue with K20 pro.
Issue started since last weekly build. After this week update all looked ok for couple of hours but again "recent apps" issue cropped up. Problem disappears with default launcher, but unbearable with nova launcher which I use.

I have zero problems with nova pro launcher. Instead i have lags with stock launcher but not with nova. Mi 11 with latest weekly here.
