Yeah when i made the upgrade to MiUi 7 i have yet à non MIUI 7 thème installed in my Mi4 and at the reboot i canot see the pin page and enter the numbers...
White page ...damned!
I make a Wipe cache and solve the problem.
I hope this post can help someone...
Be carreful with thème on miui7!!
Also thanks to the team to all the effort it s an amazing ROM all works perfectly on my Mi4!

Or just take out sim, boot, set default theme, insert sim.

No, there is slow-motion, but only when video quality is set to HD or SD.

After of few days using 5.8.20 on Redmi 2 1G, I can say it's a huge improvement over MIUI6. On a mi4 it's not so dramatic but on the Redmi 2 it's just made it much more nicer device to use - faster, smoother and with much better battery life.

Nice to hear this. I just installed on my second handset hm2014811 but here I look two clocks (they shouldn't be there). Also I own mi 4W and it's great. How do you keep memory optimization in hm2014811? Off or high?

didnt notice any major problem until now, except the DND settings FC already mentioned in this thread
but now there's a funny one : scan a QR code with the camera, tap on "show details", select google chrome for viewing and wifi get broken (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET), now you have to disconnect/reconnect wifi to get it back

edit : observations made on a Mi2S

Registration is obvious, Username, password, email and 3 digit code as per the image. Verify your email. Done

Just one thing to note on Mi Note Pro the Browser FC. Such a shame because it's so dam quick it's laughable. I will try downloading the ROM again.

Yes that's correct. You can also use the Chinese rom and install Google apps using the google installer:

Just to note if you're getting plagued by adds trying to download the google installer just download it to your computer and transfer it via bluetooth after you have paired your device.

I had trouble with my touch-screen for the last few weeks, it seemed that it always recognized the touch a little too high to the point where I thought it might be broken. also the UI was not very responsive. MiUI v7 fixed both for some reason. so I am very happy with v7 as of now.

Unfortunately, it's a hardware issue, common on Mi3... I have the same problem on mine !
My quick fix : add 'lock screen' to your notification toggles -> no need to press the button afterwards ;-)

Same here, but I get back the WiFi connection automatically after 20-30sec

I seem to be in serious trouble for the first time since my frequent use of custom recovery and flashing etc.
I installed TWRP with the v3 toolkit for my mi4i, then enabled root for it. Both seemed to have worked, then after I checked the twrp recovery didn't seem to have worked, although root may still have worked not sure. So i downloaded toolkit v4 and redid the twrp recovery flash. this time it worked. in the meantime i forgot about the root possibly still being activated. I performed a complete nandroid backup. Then tried to install the package from the german site. It jammed the twrp system with a mention of fail 'device may be busy'. nothing seemed to work, so pressed power + vol up key long and phone restarted straight back into recovery autonomously. Again it did the same after a second attempt. So i decided to do a factory reset wipe without removing the data section where my nandroid was stored. This failed to work completely unfortunately. Now I tried to restore my nandroid, again this did not work properly. Now my phone seems to be bricked and have no place to turn. I read in the toolkit that if you want to go OTA style, that root needs to be disabled or otherwise phone is bricked. So possibly the root was effectively active after all? Now what do I do, someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! Is there a way to still disable the root via adb even with my phone half to sh!t?
