md5 is correct, i have made a xiaomi.eu_multi_HM2XTDPro_V8.1.2.0.LHJCNDI_v8-5.1.zip.md5 file and it passes.

Guys you are complicating too much.
If mi logo blinks and turn off after flash, it means BL got locked, just boot in fastboot and run MiUnlock.

Rex, link for rn3sd is up 6.12.1, new releases come on friday usually

I tried this but Mi Unlock cannot identify the device...

Is it possible to deaktivate the smart assistant from miui? Google now or any other assistants doesnt work because the smart assistant!!!! Please delete the fckg smart assistant!!!!

If your rooted, use TiBu to freeze the app.

Or search for ADB method to uninstall an app. If you do the adb method, you will need to do it again when you update.

The reason xiaomi.eu team haven't removed it, is probably because it can cause bootloops on some devices.

[Changelog - China] MIUI 8 China Developer ROM 6.12.8 Changelog Preview: Doodle, Hotspot Features

Doodle feature improvements
In the previous version, the black or white scribble pen colors were missing from the Doodle function. A much-requested feature has been to add more colors to the Doodle feature in the Gallery photo editor. Now you can edit photos with black or white scribblings and graffiti.

Personal Hotspot Devices Limit
For added security and peace of mind, we've added a feature to limit the number of devices that can connect to your personal hotspot.

Note: - Above features may not be included in xiaomi.eu roms!

I did at times and no I am not on this latest rom. There can be several reasons of a random reboot. And unless it's happening very frequently, what's the big deal?

I got reboot this morning, when wake up.. That is big deal, my phone reboot on "double tap to wake up".

indeed, it says "unexpected end of archive" , i guess that's why i got signature verification failed.

RN3Pro doesnt have this...its the only reason im on custom kernel...would be cool if they add it atleast as a option in kernel

Agni and Radon kernels had dt2w too. For Redmi Note 3 SD. I follow Agni, Radon use more energy

This is the reason I think you have to do it the way I described on last page.

I think you have to install an official Chinese ROM, log on to your xiaomi acount with this, and then try to unlock the ROM again.

You get to EDL from Fast Boot with the app I linked to.

Atleast on RN3Pro I got bootloader lock many times after flashing a ROM (flash logo then turn off). And it always worked via fastboot mode unlock with MiUnlock...

Awful battery drain, Chrome crashes frequently [Redmi Note 2, MiPad 2]

With this and the previous Version I experience exceptional battery drain on Redmi Note 2. On both devices Chrome crashes frequently, more often on the Mi Pad. [Last perfect version: 6.11.10/ downgrading complicated this time.]

Anyone experiencing the same?

Mi5s bluetooth BUG

in a call with Bluetooth headset, if you open an application such as facebbok / twitter / video, the audio disappears in headphone. You have to switch to speakerphone and then back to the headset to return to work. And in some cases you have to reboot the smartphone.

whatever. i have been using xiaomi.eu rom for more than 2 years on my mi3.

now i got he redmi note 3 with global rom. and i seriously wonder what benefits i got with xiaomi eu rom.

sure, i got more google apps than i need but what else does xiaomi.eu offer inspite of global rom features?

I don't know exactly but @ingbrzy usually optimises ram usage, battery consumption and makes the China rom more "european friendly", since Kate is actually based on Global I believe that it should have more functions (like swiping menu, that usually Globals don't have) but since I've never owned a phone that is actually born with Global I would ask him directly to see what actual changes have the Kate rom, beside the full GAPPS package that comes with all Global roms...

What benefits compared to mi3 you mean?

Look... I was using my Mi3 for about 2 years, and I was using Xiaomi.eu ROM basically from day one and updated almost every week. Otherwise I would have had to use the Chinese ROM which I didn't want. Xiaomi.eu ROM was perfect for me at the time.

Then I changed to RN3 SE and there was no Xiaomi.eu ROM at first. I almost didn't get the phone, because Xiaomi.eu-Team said, there won't be a RN3 SE ROM (Kate) because it only has Global ROM (Xiaomi.eu ROM used to be -all- Chinese based) and because of official unlock did not work at first. So I used the Global ROM for the RN3 SE up to now.

And since "Kate" ROM is available from Xiaomi.eu the question was: what is the biggest selling point of Xiaomi.eu ROM compared to Global ROM (with root) because they "feel" quite similar in everyday use.

I am asking myself and I am asking here. It's a serious question, not a rhetorical one, not a sarcastic one. I just wanted to hear an opinion from someone who might have been in the same situation. Someone who can say "I changed from Global ROM to Xiaomi.eu ROM because...".

That's also my question. My device is a RN3 SE too. My reason to change to xiomi.eu was primary the bloatware. But i see also only minimal changes.

I'm using Kate with xiaomi weekly.
Using it for sim toolkit, search, better ram management, etc..
Read the first post and second one each week. It's your call.
