i used the twrp postwd above in first post, 3.0.2.3, anyway i flashed and its all right so the errors had to be no big deal

what i dont understand yet is where are new 7.0 features? no split screen?

I also want to know what is new or different in 7.0?

I use on my kenzo the stable 8.0.5.0, can I do the update using the normal method?
I mean, download the zip file, use the MiUi updater app and choose the zip file? Then it updates automaticaly? Or do I need to make any other thing like dakviks, wipes or something else, because I'm not any expert... And I don't know if matters when you are changing from Lollipop to marshmallow.

but as you said because you go from 5.1 to 6 its better to do wipe.its better.
Eu stable 8.1.1.0 released today.

Mi5 installed using recommended TWRP, no wipe, only wipe cache/dalvik AFTER installation. So far so good

Kenzo 8.1.1.0 Can't find device status on fresh install (wipe data, cache, dalvik).
Can't go through the install steps, where I need to sign to Mi Account, says Can't find device status. Only got retry and cancel as buttons and when I press cancel, it of course goes back to Terms of Use to accept so it goes back the previous step.

you have that option in a few xposed. modules, or in some mods which you can easily find with a search on google, e. g. on en.miui.com.

Also you lost IMEI#2 as well

Solution:

Perform full unroot via SuperSU and then install SuperSU SR5 or newer release. Done.

Me to, my MI5 is always in edl mode, then I flash a fresh fastboot ROM but still dead, no response combined buttons to download mode, fastboot, nothing, just EDL.

I'm in bootloader locked, any ideas?
