So I downloaded 6.2.25. It's working, as always on my Redmi Note 2. The thing is, now I have some weird clock and chinese(?) search bar on the dropdown notification menu. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

no, you need to merge your system partitions:
you can either:
flash twice 5.12.17 then flash 6.2.25
miflash a china 6.2.4 then flash xiaomi.eu 6.2.25

I tested both are working fine.

Just cache dalvic to be wiped.

Copiati la ROM sul pc, e apri il file updater-script con notepad++ e cancelli tutte le righe che presentano la scritta "get.prop". Questo è l'errore 7. Dimmi se hai risolto

Copied the ROM on your PC, and open the updater-script file with notepad ++ and delete all the rows that have the word "get.prop". This is the error 7. Tell me if you've solved

I am on Redmi Note 2 Prime, and always have used the updater app without problems, just downloaded the zip file to downloaded_rom directory, and updated with the updater app, without any problems.

Is that still how I can update now?

I have this same problem since the weekly versions of december (or maybe the end of november) last year.

Background apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and others are not staying in memory. Because of this they can not receive new messages and I will not be notified of new messages.
Only after restarting these apps they will start receiving new messages until they kicked out of memory again.

My "solution" is going back to the last version that worked for me: the stable version 7.0.11.0

Hello,

I have a MI3, I'm on 6.1.21 but I'm not running TWRP yet. I'm a bit confused about the "Must read" notice now. I understand I have to upgrade to TWRP, but the updater app doesn't work anymore since I'm on 6.1.21 (no root, so it can't switch to recovery). Flashify also needs root.

So I understand I just have to flash this full rom on Mi Recovery and I will have TWRP. Is that correct ?

Thank you for your quick answer. Is there a guide somewhere that explains this merging partiotions and what needs to be done for the updating and the need for custom recovery and the like? It seems a bit confusing for me as I do not follow updates on a weekly bases just every two months or so. I searched the forums but could not find a guide. Thanks again.
