On device Kate when I open Settings, Installed apps Security ForceClose. On my Cancro this doesn't happen and the Settings work. Lang Finnish. Works in EN no problem.

That is official global MIUI issue and it has been already fixed in today 7.12.5 update. EN US system lang is not affected, all other langs are affected...

Why every OTA is about 1.2gb i.e. full rom instead of regular OTA?

xiaomi.eu builds only one variant of the rom, the full rom available as a download or an ota. both are identical. if you are thinking of a smaller-sized incremental rom for ota, non is available at the moment.

Is it a bug or a feature? Google Play Protect can not be disabled. Neither in the Play Store (the entry is missing here), or in Google Settings.

Problem found! Google Play Services were to blame. By uninstalling the update and deleting the service, Google Play Protect will now work again.

Using EN version since Friday on my Redmi 4X santoni.
Stable and good battery life.
Only some small issues (for me)
1. Stepcounter is not working (xiaomi bug?)
2. Settings - My device - All specs - Model name is displayed incorrect (MAI132)
3. Settings - System apps - Search - App version is showing a page completely in Chinese (translation error?)

Flash china stable rom. Flash recovery, format internal storage in recovery, reboot in recovery, copy xiaomi.eu rom to internal storage from pc, flash xiaomi.eu rom.
