Battery life on this ROM is a further improvement from last week, which was already good.

I can honestly say without any partiality that current 7.2.16 update is far the best and the most stable release for Mi5 so far:

- High idle battery drain issue improved
- GPS location issue improved a lot
- All Google related issues including Gboard personal dictionary FC are fixed

Check this out below my battery consumption result after clean install of 7.2.16.
I almost reached 8hrs SOT within 38hrs of use with one charging:

installed xposed on my RN3P Kate and using xMIUI (3$) module i can activate google smart unlock features

Had the above module free version, but wasn't using it for that feature because I didn't know how to activate it.
For others here is the instructions: -

After switching on the corresponding option in the xMIUI (Lockscreen section->Google SmartLock) you'll see/get:
Settings->Additional Sets->Privacy->Smart Lock: On-body detection / Trusted places / Trusted devices
