1. you don't own mi4c so you knew nothing about this ****** phone
2. i never say i don't like miui eu rom
3. i already own other phone

here is some constructive answers, just for you:
1. miui7 - good SOT, phone is often overheating and drop in performance
2. miui8 - worst SOT, phone is overheating, I feel myself like a human torch even when I am playing simple games
3. miui 8.3 (Android7) - even worst SOT, problem with whatapp notification, playstore, not so good gps, camera is worst then miui7 ...
4. with every update this phone became worst
5. this phone should be renamed in Mi4m (m=mistake)

sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language.

Maybe it's time for a try custom roms, I agree with what they wrote but the hardware is not bad (maybe snapdragon 808) and there is a problem in the software. Trying for a week Resurrection Remix rom and reborn my phone again.

I bought this phone (mi4c) because I love and wonder miui, but obviously there is a problem and the software is getting worse. I miss the first version miui7.

Yes. Just starting from scratch eliminates tons of issues...

Last thing though, does your miphonemanager recognize devices with xiaomi.eu roms?

MiFlash recognize phone, MiPCSuite don't recognize phone.

Can this version be installed on 6.12.22 mi4c , or do I need to go through a previous version before?

I tried and became beta tester for Google play services but waiting for WiFi issue still exist

New play services will update play store as well, give him a little time, maybe reboot will help to update.

Then flash official fastboot rom and start from the beginning and it will work.
Flash latest fastboot rom
Unlock bootloader
Flash twrp
Make factory reset (data, cache and dalvik)
Install eu rom
Reboot
Done

Can you give me a link to the latest fastboot rom? My bootloader is unlocked, TWRP (Cofface) is flashed and working fine.
What difference would flashing the latest fastboot rom make - I mean, it will immediately afterwards be over-flashed with th eu rom anyway?

Your bootloader will get locked again probably after that so unlocking with the unlock tool will do the trick.

You should not wipe system manually.
And installing rom by wiping data only as stated in first post. So only factory reset is needed. Why not manually wipe system? I'm not dev so I don't know.

Unfortunately it didn't help but quite strange some users have no any issue at all with Google play store downloads using same ROM same device...

I had problems with downloading from playstore, some apps were always "waiting for wi-fi", although it was connected and fully functional... Deleting play store updates and app data didn't help.

So much so that I've wanted to revert to old rom, but found out that no recoveries were installed (had TWRP installed since I bought my phone almost 2 years ago).. And I'm now "stuck" (until I get bootloader unlock from miui) on fastboot/official roms.

battery drain is quite high, 51% battery after one normal day of use is too much.

With Nougat it is happening that a few issues are reported only from a few users on the same device. See for instance widget issue.

Redmi PRO here.
It's working fine, and it seems that I've lost the quick charge capability. Using the same charger and powerband (2A) it will charge as a normal charger (3h+ to charge fully). Everything is the same, only this installation. (had the previous one from which I upgraded).

The only other thing I have (had with the previous version and also the MIUI Official one) is in Contacts, the bar that you can get a letter to easily scroll through the 1000 contacts is in Chinese, or Russian, and it's no use... Any one else has that?

Thanks!

Puh, my bootloader is unlocked by a great tutorial in the MIUI forum - "inofficially" but it worked perfectly for everything. The problem is that (at least last year when I did it) it was basically impossible for almost everyone to unlock via the "official" way (you might find my posts in the e.miui.com forum from that time). I haven't followed closely what happened since then, so I don't know whether it now works as it should, or whether there are now tools to help the user, other than the Xiaomi tool that just did not work (and I tried for MONTHS!). Also, I have TWRP installed already (the Cofface version for Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon), which (then, when I did it) was be best way without extra "hacks". Are there new developments that make it easier?

I'm not sure if anybody is having issues with this week's release on the Note 4, maybe I'll just skip this one just in case. Though the apparent issue is Google play and afaik is Android 7 related so I should be fine.

Firmware xiaomi.eu 7.3.30 ... There is a problem listening to Internet radio streams in the background in XiiaLive, TuneIn. For some time, the stream plays, then it starts buffering and stops at any quality and good Internet speed. In the active application, the radio starts playing. Tried to put a lock, disconnected background mode, did not help. Who faced?

On Mi4S french
No widget, and impossible to update applications on the google play store (waiting for wifi) since before last update.
The automatic update is desactivated, etc...

BUT Just before doing the update on 7.3.30, when I was downloading the file, the download failed, and some applications started all alone to updates on playstores, except 3 (messenger, handcent sms and android system webview)

Hi George and Stefano, i haven't been ignoring you - just working. Firstly , I'm not massively desperate about the scanner , it's more an exercise in problem solving.
Ok , if i try the scanner in the notification shade .I get a 'scanner has stopped ' message , similarly if i try the app in 'tools' folder . I have taking screenshots and even used screen recorder ,but can't seem to upload -screenshots give me an error message and recording file is too large. But this is the analysis which I copied :

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: dalvik.system.PathClassLoader[DexPathList[[zip file "/system/framework/miuistatssdkshared.jar", zip file "/system/framework/zxing.jar", zip file "/system/framework/gson.jar", zip file "/system/framework/android-support-v13.jar", zip file "/system/app/MiuiScanner/MiuiScanner.apk"],nativeLibraryDirectories=[/vendor/lib64, /system/lib64]]] couldn't find "libQuadrangleRecognizer.so"

at android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java)

In my permissions, scanner does not appear in the list of apps to which permissions apply , and if i go to 'camera' , again scanner does not appear as being eligible for permissions.
Having said all that ,the scanner in the stock browser (just found out ) works !
