Even if MIUMI9 has had a great start I've found two issues as follows:
- phone calls get interrupted more frequently. MIUI8 has been better in this regards
- Nova Launcher hangs more often after logging in after recovering from sleep mode

Besides that: I very happy with MIUI8!

After TWRP installed rom zip file I would wipe Dalvik & Cache before reboot to System. It cannot do any harm.
