MIUI Camera doesn't utilise Camera2 api, but most 3rd party camera app utilise it.

Settings > Notifications & status bar > App notifications > WhatsApp > Sound

Settings > Notifications & status bar > App notifications > WhatsApp > Vibration

Did you enable them?

Folder : Miscellaneous Mods (use 'HZQ_MIUI_Camera_Mod_CAMERA2_API_170824.zip', except Mi5 use 'Mi5_Camera2Api_Fix.zip')

I enable camera2 api on My Mi Max 2 by flashing that zip and really love *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum*, much better compare to MIUI Camera on low light conditions.
