Are you Using "non active Mode" for battery saving?
It is an intelligent save Mode implemented by Xiaomi, you find it in the battery settings. Enabled by Default i think
clear the cache and camera data, go to setup> scroll down to find application> press app (camera)> clear cache and data. and let me know if it works, if it works give me a likeInstalled 8.10.25 on Mi8 and the camera is black (also the *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* and other camera apps) and give me Camera Error. Any solution?

probably hardware failure of the motherboard/powerIC. If confirmed, it does not have enough power to supply the screen while the other electronic still works. it is a common failure with SD 808/820 snapdragon boards. It can be repaired by a TV repair shop (need to replace the IC)Updatet Mi5 to 8.10.25. Worked fine for a few hours, then suddenly screen went black.
No further reaction of the Phone.
I even took the battery off and on again, the phone can't be powered on (and no fast-boot-mode), no vibration, nothing.
But: the Phone is still recognized by Windows10 as "Mi5" and I can reach the SD-Memory.
Any Ideas how te get phone back to life?
Could you flash the latest weekly after restoring the data partition, and clear cache and dalvik? If that does not help, I think a factory reset will be the only solution unfortunately. I tested the Hotspot on my mi 8, and it works fine after this workaround.yes, here is my operation steps:
2) factory reset with twrp
3)flash the 8.10.25 firmware + wipe cache after firmware
4) open the phone and login to mi account + google account
5) restore "data" from backup with twrp
