How do I get rid of the hideous options for cleaning etc on the recents menu? I'm staying with 8.11.15 for now as it doesn't have that.

Can we get an option to have it removed?
You already have it. Home settings -> Show suggestions. Unless you're on POCO, then you don't have that setting for now.

I enabled encryption, but had to change fstab.qcom file to make the phone work, and not stay stuck on boot screen.
I have to say, that if I try to add a password to the whole device, TWRP cannot decrypt on my MI6 so I have only specific items that are using the encryption, with a password.
Yes, I know the fstab.qcom update (fileencryption=ice) trick but that requires you to do it after update. I am not sure why this ROM doesn't want to enable it by default?

There has to be a reason and maybe, one of the devs can chime in...

I'm reflashing back to 8.11.23 weekly build, 8.11.29 is causing my Pocophone to have intermittent lag with WiFi when gaming, the lag spikes alot. Even normal FB browsing is not loading properly with a fast internet connection, also tried out with data, slightly but can be felt that the problem is there.

Seems like I'll be losing out the WA & FB cleaner for the moment, also the google lens feature under camera section.

Hoping the next build would be more usable.

Xiaomi.eu ROMs are not based on china ROMs anymore. The only thing they include from china ROMs is Automated Tasks. That's it.
China ROMs have a much more stable system and they also have a wonderful permission manager.
If you don't believe me, go ahead and install a china ROM on your device. You'll see how long you were being deceived with these false info and features.

I can say one thing with 100% confidence; @ingbrzy me and others who have and do work on these ROMs would never deceive anyone, we base ROM off China ROM (Developer edition / Stable edition) and for 8 years have never changed that. Maybe you've had the misfortune of a fake ROM previously.

It is a TWRP related issue... Maybe another recovery will work for encryption, but not for the rom...

Check to see if some of your contacts are saved not as Google contacts.

They could be saved as MI contacts, on a sim card, as WhatsApp contacts, etc . . .

Dirty Flash is just updating / flashing without wiping data
Clean Flash is wiping the data after flashign a new rom
Few questions for getting little info.... Thanks if you could help...
1. So if i have beta rom, do i have to do clean install every week or i can install updates without wiping data?
2. I'm currently on global stable rom 8.1 oreo (device pocophone f1) but wants to flash global beta (euro rom) so could you please help me with step by step process and provide me link for pocophone f1 euro beta rom?
I'll be more than thankful to you.
Cheers!

Publicity after cleaning, Facebook cleaning. Not really serious, considering they are security options. Please remove.
Thank you,team.Overall, a great ROM.

I have a mi8 running 8.8.30 not had enough time off work to update until this week.

First question is, I assume I need a full wipe to flash this weeks rom as it's a newer android version yes?

I thought I read that if I can backup the data partition I can re flash that bit only to put all my current apps and settings onto the new rom or did I just dream it!

Thanks in advance

You can install without wiping data, install the update and Dalvik and Cache wipe only.

I made the update via OTA. But even after updating, the update center notifies you that update is available. I'm downloading again. I would like to know if version 8.11.29 for Mi8 had another update or if it is just a bug.

Thanks for all. S2

Slow mo 120fps and 240fps doesnt work, its because bugs from mi vide, please next fix use miuivideo.apk from developer and don't use miuivideoglobal.apk
I Try replace it, but we cant change permission system folder.
im using mi8 btw.
120 and 240 fps slow motion issue is same in official MIUI. It seems recording issue not the player issue as I checked playing it on PC and it also plays with normal speed...

Mi Max 3:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to System apps.
  3. Go to Quick apps.
  4. Nothing happens.
  5. Repeat 3 a few times.
  6. Error occurs.

I never said that the script doesn't wipe what's necessary, in fact I never bothered to check. I'm saying that "Dalvik/ART Cache" and "Cache" are the only items on the TWRP list that are safe to wipe, nothing else.
Thank you for response and clarification.
Seems we had different understandings of the question.
You understood that he was asking which wipes are safe, because of first part of his question ("what's the safest way to update, via OTA or via TWRP (dirty)?" )...and you answered that "dalvik cache" and "cache" have to be wiped.
I understood, he would like to know what wipes have to be done in TWRP in generally ("Thanks, please also tell me what to wipe in TWRP in case."), so your answer was confusing me a little because of other understanding of the question ;)
