contacts is working, i mean the Google Phone Dialer, for me the best dialer and a reason to stay on 8.8.30 a big CON for the new Android P.
Hope Xiaomi.eu team can fix this.

Mi8 Users and other AndroidP devices have to do a factory reset (wipe data)

and this is normal way when the „OS“ changes (oreo to android p)
