I cant understand some people... xiaomi.eu are doing a great job. It is impossible to make it perfekt for 100% ...

Here are so many questions, they are answered in the threads but the people asked it again and again.

Please read all the threads and if you have an answer, please describe it in detail.

Regards.... Kater

Google Chrome (browser) is not working/can't install. Installing it from the Play Store - it just sits stuck at "installing". Installing the .apk works but when opening it it flashes aggressively. Also the webview implementation from chrome (in developer options) does not get installed.

Hello, please tell me when there will be firmware and whether Mi Max 2 will be supported by you at all, thanks.

Try to clean flash. I can install chrome from play store and can launch successfully.

I did clean flash it. A clean reflash is not possible at the moment (don't want to lose my data and everything). Will wait. When the updated version comes will clean flash it. Is it necessary to wipe the system for a clean flash? The first post states NO but read that YES so I'm in doubt...

Just format data for clean install, then wipe cache and delvik

And, by the way, a clean flash does NOT erase your data. You only lose your data if you wipe/format the data partition - which isn't needed for a clean install.
I choose to start from 0. Less problems that way. Thanks.

I have a colleague hat has an Global MI8 with the global rom, not eu. I told him about xiaomi.eu and we tried togehter to flash this rom but failed spectaculary. We tried very flavor of twrp and orangefox, and the flash itself worked but the rom just wouldn´t start. Could someone tell us how to get this great rom on this device? Right now we have the Global Miui 11 with Android 9 on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you must do a clean flash which will include the format data option because you are changing from global to custom rom.

Could you explain that in more detail? Do you mean to wipe everything, even data etc? so that only twrp is on the device? That might be just the one thing we didn´t try.

yes you need to wipe everything including data especially where it says format data and you need to say yes and continue.personally i use orange fox recovery but am using redmi note 7.the reason for wiping and formatting is because you are moving from global rom to custom rom.

I understand. Thanks.

When the first beta Android 9 -> 10 dirty rom flash switch, more apps no worked for me (chrome, google play, etc.)
I back to factory default (Google play, services, webview ...), and remove Chrome app and reboot my phone, and install the Chrome app.

when is this weekly update going to arrive?i have been waiting since morning.

When it's ready! Usually they arrive on Fridays, sometimes as early as Thursday to Friday night, sometimes on Saturdays, and sometimes not at all for a week or two if there is a holiday in China and the original Chinese ROM is delayed. So: You'll find it when it is released, and it will be released when it is ready.

Guys can i ask you wich is the right twrp to flash xiaomi.eu weekly on my Mi9? tx in advance
The codename for Xiaomi Mi 9 is "cepheus". There are several flavours of recovery for cepheus and they are OrangeFox, TWRP by LR.Team, TWRP by Mauronofrio and TWRP by siankatabg. I have been using "Unofficial TWRP by Mauronofrio" since the beginning because the link in xiaomi.eu points me to that one. Not sure if my preference is the "right TWRP" because other users will have their own preference.

If this is your first time flashing custom firmware in your cepheus, take a look at this guide. https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/guide-how-flashed-twrp-xiaomi-eu-rom-t3912952. I just followed it up to flashing the firmware as I don't have a need for rooting my device.

The forum to Mauronofrio's TWRP is here, https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-9-t3905825
