Mi9: updating from 9.5.16 is leading to a complete laggy ROM......freezing, icons are disapering, face-unlock not working, etc....I am on TWRP 3.3.0 going back to the previous version (9.5.16) system is flawless....

Hi there,
how did you flash back on TWRP to 9.5.16? Do you need to erase anything? Which TWRP 3.3.0 are you using?

On Redmi Note 7 I'm still facing the issue about the proximity sensor not working during a call ora when listening to audio messages on WA/Telegram :(Someone knows a way to fix this?
Hi! I fixed it by flashing magisk 18.1 (root) and then restarting the phone is fix of proximity sensor error
sorry if my english is not good

Issue while locking the phone with a keyboard opening.
issue after a dirty flash and remained after a clean flash on MI9.

Problem remains with AOD On/Off

What kind of battery drain are you observing? I am new to Mi and find that my battery drops about 8-10% overnight.

The DC dimming feature, when enabled on the Mi8, when turning the screen on it causes a brightness flash when coming out of standby the first time.

It'll have to be fixed upstream I suppose.

Hello everyone,

Phone MI9 6/168gb global version.
TWRP latest beta version ( 19b i believe )

Had previous version of xiaomi.eu installed.
Was prompted today that update was available over OTA.
Downloaded update over OTA, was prompted that storage is encrypted and i will have to input password in TWRP.
After hitting install, phone autmaticaly booted in TWRP but nothing installed, checked cli and saw that it couldn't find the package.Searched the phone with TWPR but found nothing.
I realized that twrp cannot read encrypted partition.

What i did :
I booted up into system again.
Copied the ota update on the laptop.
Booted in TWRP again
Used adb push to copy the rom to the ram memory : adb push rom.zip /tmp/
Navigated to the /tmp folder ( is in the root folder for those who don't use linux "/" )
Selected the zip and installed it.

Everything works fine until now, all application and settings are preserved .
I did not cleared cache or Dalvik partition.

Thanks you xiaomi.eu for this wonderfull rom, though i wrote this down for anyone who may have issues with the ota update on encrypted partition.

Take care everyone

This is really new (and a good news!). You were able to install the new ROM zip OVER an encrypted phone?
That's very strange, may be because new TWRP allow this, normaly that issue leads to format data.

I updated over official global beta (dirty), and used shevT TWRP, phone is working well, encryption works, and it runs much faster than standard TWRP.
So far so good.
