Hello, I am using a MI 8 and have just uploaded (9.8.9) the update. Runs so well.
I noticed that in the Quick Snap mode but now a sound is played, although the camera sound is disabled.
How can the sound be disabled in Quick Snap mode?

At the end, I flash back the global stable and then twrp and 9.8.1, because, so many apps don't support Q

Yeah, unfortunately Samsung wear and my banking app are not working on Q so I'm back on 9.8.1... but otherwise the rom is great

IT works also to Go Back to 9.8.1?
I did this way, flash global stable with oficial MiFlsh tool, then, Twrp and then 9.8.1, and ta-da, but it will lose all ur data, but I don't have data in my phone so, anyway

you still have the option to wake up the screen By volume buttons / key in lock screen? or this option has also disappeared at home?

I've seen 9.8.12 solves a k20pro ultra battery saver mode issue. Is this issue also present on Mi 9? Cause when I turn on ultra battery saver phone restarts (I think it restarts another thime while bootlogo) but mode is not active.
I do not even have the option, for some reason. Perhaps because I disabled some options and debloated.

I am not even sure I want the option, but it was present on the 9.8.1 or 9.8.8, I don't quite recall since I updated in quick succession.

Same here on my Mi 9, but I was expecting this, our rom is a few days older than the one for the K20 Pro, maybe on the next release is finally fixed, we really need this, our battery was never special since day one and maybe this improves it.

As far as I can tell, that option, the Ultra Battery Saver, is quite limiting to all the apps, except the ones you select to use.

Oooh alright, so this feature existed in like MIUI 9 but got removed, they´re just reviving it.

When updating MI 9 to 9.8.8 the pc does not recognize fastboot mode that I can do, I notice that the USB debugging mode is activated but no notification comes out as it happened.

No Battery Drain on my Mi8. Over the Night in 9 Hours only 6%.

Hi,
When people here say that Gpay works on 9.8.1 (Pie), which it also states in release notes, is that after the needed "tweaks"?
I'm on 9.8.1 and GPay did not work right away, had to download SQL editor, do database changes and also modifying change rights, all according to an article on xdaDev.
Hide Gpay with Magisk did not help.
Is it actually working for some people without any changes?
If the changes are needed for everybody, I don't think the release notes should say that Gpay works.
I'm on a Mi9.

Android Q working flawlessly here on my Mi 9
Every mod that I used before still works, the one that didn't work at all was Dolby DP so RIP.
So, I managed to make Dolby Digital Plus work in Android Q, if anyone is interested in knowing how, please like this post, then I'll know if I make a separated post in the Modding section.
(Don´t reply here please, lets keep clean this thread for the rom discussions overall)
UPDATE:
Done! Thread created on MIUI MODS section.
