He guys, just wanted to ask what kind of battery performance people are getting.

I got my phone today it was half full with charge so I ran it down to 0% and then charged fully, which took about 3 hrs. I have been using the phone quite a bit, web, games, downloading apps over wifi etc. After about 3.5 hrs my battery meter is reading 69%, and it seems to be dropping quite fast, is this normal?

PS. Misspelt the title by mistake but can't seem to edit it

3.5hours and your only down 30%? You were using it a lot too :p . That is beautiful battery life to me. After a workday of about 7-8 hours of no charging, I get home at about 10-20% daily. I think your on the right track with nothing to worry about.

Cool, nice one, thanks for letting me know. I woke this morning and battery had dropped about 10% overnight, then i turned it on and just played around a bit, (no data or wifi or game use) and it's dropping about 1% every 5 minutes. Is this normal too?

Also will battery improve a bit after a few charge cycles?

The battery will not improve but it you want to save the battery's lifetime you should let it discharge completely and afterwards recharge it completely without using the phone too much (it is recommended that you recharge your phone while it's off and non-active).

Cool nice one. After using for a bit battery does seem nice. Would really like to root so I can get No-ads app to help even more with battery.

My battery suffers badly these days, not sure if thats because it was an engineering sample or not but its still functionally working great. I kind of like that its got some defects the official one hasn't as it makes it even more unique :)

You're such a hipster, Mark xD

I tried putting my Xiaomi to test with an entire day of moderate usage that includes several calls, Whatsapp, web browsing, gaming and several photos. It took around 13-14 hours to bring my phone down to 10-20%. Overall, I think it is pretty good since most phones would be dead by such usage.

Definitely true. Most phones have batteries between 1400-1700 mAh whilst xiaomi has 1930 mAh, which is quite rare.
