Looks like it will work. Who would have thought the antirollback feature was just in the .bat script and not hardware based? Only flaw is when we've had the fastboot bootloop bricks with 12.5.2. Even if Mi Flash says successful it still boot loops

This method will be helpful if someone wants to rollback to Global 12.0.1 or China 12.0.13 so they can flash .EU.

What
@ joshuaknightful

yes :)

1. unlock bootloader (after 7days of waiting periode).
2. Don't do OTA above CN12.0.13.
3.After 7 days, flash latest xiaomi.eu STABLE ROM (clean install).
4.At this point it's possible to flash xiaomi.eu BETA ROM 21.4.21/22 (first should be a clean install).

After that you can update the beta rom as usual.

EDIT: MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 1 PRECISELY.
1. What do you mean by "clean install"?
2. What tool is best to flash?

flashed my mi 11 Ultra without problems from 12.0.13 CN to 12.5.2 Xiaomi.eu rom :)

@Spikemann007 you dont need a tool. only connect your phone to usb with fastboot mode and click the windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat as administrator in the rom folder

Just a dumb question.. will this fastboot version be able to OTA after install to next versions in the future?

does it make any difference where the files from the zip are on the windows machine? I some years ago I had problems when the files did not lie on c:\....

Thank you!
I wouldn't take the risk putting the files somewhere else than c:... .
I save them on desktop and copy the file path into cmd.

As far as I know when you go to update through OTA it always takes you to TWRP to flash it, so my guess is it won't work until they don't release TWRP for Mi 11

What

1. What do you mean by "clean install"?
2. What tool is best to flash?

1.On windows use the script which comes with the rom. There is one that is called "...first_install_with_data_format.bat" this is the clean installation.
2. Use CMD on windows, run it as admin.

Did you read the instructions on page one ?

Edit: do not start the script by clicking on it.
Watch the video from page one.

Guys!

Thanks to everyone who participated in this topic, great respect to ingbrzy for instructions!

Was able to successfully flash my Ultra to 12.5.3.0 EU from 12.0.1 Global (EDL installed) using instructions on page 1.

Best of luck to everyone!

Howdy,
Just installed EU 12.5.3 from CN 12.0.13 on Mi 11 ultra CN 12/256
unlocked it, rebooted to recovery and wiped it just to be safe, rebooted to fast boot, and then just ran the bat as admin in with cmd
had some long pauses that worried me but everything went fine.
Doesn't seem to be any problems. I saw some stuff about 5G and I think it is working fine as the 5g symbol came up at the top. safety net passed and netflix works so I guess widevine is good too.

After using 12.5.3 for a while,
The big bugs that stood out to me appear to be that the full screen gestures do not work. I activated them at initial start up and they were on, but then randomly the bottom buttons appeared and the gestures stopped working. I turned them back on, but they do not seem to work and on reboot, they turn back off again. I tried changing the accidental touch boundary and a few other things, but nothing seems to work. The tutorial for the gestures works fine however?
Also, when trying to go to the app info via the recent apps screen, it just goes back to the last screen, but if you go to the recents again, a new window is there for the app info which can be clicked to go to it. Also the system dark mode causes a mess with a lot of apps as they don't get dark backgrounds but do have white text so it is unreadable, ie snapchat. Also the slider dot in most video playbacks apps disappears as well, but that isn't a problem as dark mode can be excluded for specific apps.
Google pay, safetynet, widevine, and everything else works fine. VoLTE and VoWLAN works after I disabled the carrier checks.
Hopefully they'll get it sorted out in the next stable, but honestly not too big of a deal for any of them. Definitely a fine stable as a daily driver
cheers

Are you using MIUI launcher?

Are you using MIUI launcher?

nope. I just switched to it and both bugs disappeared. Sucks because now I have to decide between my google news feed and the bugs.

I did notice though that when using the smart home in the control center that if you have smart lights, the slider only goes to around 20% and then will get stuck and switch to the notifications instead. I tried switching the sides of them and also did it was a light that was on the right of the screen thinking it was maybe because it was being pulled from the left edge, but it happens regardless. Kind of frustrating since I can turn my lights on and off and decrease the brightness, but increasing it is super hard. Happens regardless of launcher. nothing seemed to fix it. weird that regardless of which side you have the control center pull down from that swiping right switches to notifications and vice versa.

Is MIUI+ working on this version?
I can say that it is in the settings and seems good to go, but I don't use it and don't have time to test it, but looks like it should work? sorry.

You can set Google feed in MIUI launcher as well..
And yes, FSG are included in MIUI launcher so that's why it is mandatory to be set as default launcher..
