[GUIDE][venus|star|mars] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi MI11 / Pro / Ultra

Hi, I currently have 12.5.12 installed. For updating I'm not sure if I just take the internal updater or flash it via TWRP. Just comparing the versions I found that the internal updater offers
MIUI 12.5 V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM
while the most recent rom from https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv12/ is
xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V12.5.20.0.RKACNXM_v12-11
Why and which should I choose? I don't plan to update weekly, but what about current MIUI13, is that ready to use?

I Just used the latest MIUI 13 Stable Version (13.0.13) updated with the new version of TWRP for A12... perfect!
You can update without worries!

If you're on stable 12.5.12 (which is Android 11) and you like to go to stable 13.0.13.0 (which is Android 12) you can update with Fastboot Mode or now also with TWRP (for TWRP Update see next post).

I did the update from A11 to A12 with Fastboot.
And for this step you must use the Fastboot Rom 13.0.12.0
(because 13.0.13.0 is TWRP ROM for updating from 13.0.12.0 to 13.0.13.0)
This is the direct Link to the 13.0.12.0 SKACNXM Fastboot Rom:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...3.0.12.0.SKACNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip/download

(You can find here all versions here: HERE)

Howto update with Fastboot is described here:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/howto-install-fastboot-image.64508/post-643902

Your Updater offers V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM.

When you have updated with Fastboot Rom 13.0.12.0.SKACNXM - you can flash TWRP for Android 12: https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12/v6.0_A12

The instruction can be found here:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/howto-install-recovery-image.66211/post-662483

After first time booting to Twrp you must change the language:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/attachments/bez-názvu-1-png.42793/

Then you can flash TWRP to Recovery_Ramdisk, reboot TWRP and flash V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM.

Your phone would be bricked and not able to start again.

TWRP for Android 11 can't be used for Update to Android 12.
TWRP for Android 12 will not work on Android 11.
That's why you have to update with Fastboot first, which is described here:

This is not entirely accurate information:

I for example was coming from version 12.5.20 with of course Android 11 and modified TWRP for my Mi 11 Ultra dating back to August 2021: I waited for the first stable version rom always in recovery mode, and when 13.0.13 came out I "simply" followed the guides of "katerpanne" and "gogocar62" (who basically say the same thing):

- First of all I fastbooted the new TWRP modified by skkk for the device with Android 12 to the latest available version (it was v5.1) and immediately did the permanent TWRP flash with the "Install Recovery Ramdisk" command.
- After that, I flashed the stable ROM and then did the total memory format as per the guide of "gogocar62", and that was it!

Here are the guides I refer to:

Now I have the latest stable version without any problem!

@JakSpoon
Ok, thanks for describing this option. I didn't know it was possible.

At the time I updated from A11 to A12, there was only a Fastboot Rom and no TWRP for Android 12. Updating via Fastboot was the only option at the time. There were some who bricked their phones because they didn't update via fastboot.

Of course, it's cool that it's now also possible the way you described.

Anyway - in any case, both ways to perform the update (the one I described and the one you described) lead to the same goal. I just did it that way and it works.

With my method, which I also used from the descriptions I linked from this forum, I didn't have to do a format data.

Since 12.5.10 Huawei Health does not start and connects automatically when the device is restarted. only when I start it manually. Then it works until the next reboot. My Mailapp as well (Aqua-Mail) Everything still worked on 12.5.9 . Autostart is activated in the settings and miui power saving is deactivated. strange ...
1- First uninstall health app, if you install health app first and do the steps below later, the app will not stay locked and you will lose connection all the time.

2- install huawei app store,
3- then install hms from huawei app store,
4- then type huawei health to google and install apk file directly from huawei web site,

Set autostart, notification access, allow all permissions manually, Battery > no restrictions, for both HMS and Health app.

You are good to go now :)

Hi -- my Mi 11 Ultra China rom is on MIUI 13.0.13 (stock China rom). Im trying to flash to a stable EU rom but the EU rom available here is in "recovery" version only, not in fastboot. But the Xiaomi.eu site states that Android 12 models can only be flashed using fastboot only -- Im confused, how can I flash via fastboot if the available rom is in recovery format only? I heard that TWRP does not work well on Android 12 devices -- I tried earlier and I got a "cannot mount storage" error when trying to install TWRP. Can you please help? Thank you in advance.

@by8660
If your MI 11 Ultra has already Android 12 and the Bootloader is opened, you can flash the working TWRP from here (for Mi 11 Ultra /Pro) :
https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12/v6.0_A12

You must temporarily boot to TWRP (since it's an A/B device) with fastboot boot name-of-twrp.img
Soon it's booted you enter your lockscreen PIN, after decryption is successful, change language to your language, see picture
https://xiaomi.eu/community/attachments/bez-názvu-1-png.42793/

After changing language you can flash TWRP by using "flash image" and select the TWRP img (which must be placed on the internal storage) and flash it to Recovery_Ramdisk

Next step is to reboot to Recovery (instead to systém).
The stable TWRP ROM (zip file) for your device can be found here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv13/

I am on Xiaomi.eu 13.0.13.0 SKACNXM (which can be flashed with mentioned TWRP for Android 12).

Changing Rom from Stock China Rom to Xiaomi.EU Rom requires format data (not wipe, but format) immediately after flashing the Rom !

Hello

Long time since my last post in this forum (2016). :)

I recently bought new Mi 11 Ultra CN version, it is still in transit.

The store already preloaded xiaomi.eu ROM. I would like to update ROM to last version.
The problem is that there is so much information, that I don't know where to start.
Do you maybe know any good YT video or web page with detail instructions (step by step) how should I proceed?

I know this question was very likely asked thousand times and I apologize for this.

If you can help me, I will be very grateful.

Thank you

Kind regards

Hello there,

I've just put your ROM (miui13 stable) to my Xiaomi mi 11 Ultra from Global ROM, Through fastboot method with command prompt.
Is it safe for me to update now my MIUI on my phone?

Having a nightmare installing the EU rom. When I get into TWRP I have 0mb internal storage and can't install anything. Can someone please help?
The same thing happened to me and I solved it with the indication of the thread of
caterpanne
"If you cant decrypt / see your folders after booting TWRP
- check if you use the correct TWRP (see links)
- change Pattern/Password to PIN
- remove the PIN in system and try it again"

When I removed the fingerprint and the PIN in the TWRP my data was seen.

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to update regarding the EU-MIUI Rom install.
I have a 11T Pro model which I bought with Global MIUI stock rom.
My major issue was with Inconsistency of battery usage.
I used to charge to 100% and by the time it got to ~ 30% ,
it would drop rapidly to 0% (every time).
Thanks to the detailed guide in this great community,
I unlocked my device, installed the EU Rom of MIUI v13.0.4 , a month ago.
Since then, battery issue - GONE.
Thanks a lot dear friends!

What's the difference between the M2102K1C and M2102K1G?
Nothing, but C means China and G global.

In terms of eu Rom it means nothing.

In terms of stock Rom, you can't lock the Bootloader on C device with global Rom.

Regards

Sent from my Mi 11 Ultra.

Greetings experts. Successfully unlocked bootloader on mi 11 Ultra China ROM MIUI 13.0.13.0(SKACNXM). Following the guide I tried to install TWRP [twrp-3.7.0_12-v6.5_A12-star-skkk.img] but it returns "Failed to mount '/system_root' (No such file or directory). I tried to repeat install TWRP but the phone switches OFF whenever I run the fastboot.exe boot twrp.img command.

Thank you guys for your help. Newbie.

volume UP + Power takes me to the default MIUI recovery mode so it means TWRP not installed. The phone is is useable but I want to flash to xiaomi.eu ROM.

Hello, I just tried to update my wife's Mi 11 Lite (4G) Courbet to xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Lite_V13.0.10.0.SKQMIXM_v13-12.zip and it is in a TWRP boot loop.

I used twrp-3.7.0_12-0-courbet-ygherna.img and it seems to be working fine, but after the update and reboot, it reboots back to the TWRP screen.

I also tried twrp-3.6.2_12.1-courbet-Aryan.img thinking it could be more stable than the newer ygherna file, but I got an error that said it could not update because the existing system is newer than this file (not exactly sure what this means).

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: I just used the last fastboot rom and got it working - I couldn't handle the complaints from someone . . .

One more question: is the Mi11 Lite (4G) an A/B device or not?

Edit: okay I found out it is an A/B device through the fastboot command
