Hi, can I switch from china stable rom to china developer rom without unlocking the bootloader on Mi5?
Ye I did it from 7.2.12 to dev 6.4.14 two days ago via update, just download the zip, no need for Fastboot.Hi, can I switch from china stable rom to china developer rom without unlocking the bootloader on Mi5?
SOLVEDHi i have a quick question. I have redmi note 2 Hermes version with 32gb storage. I just downloaded the last developers rom. Now i have an old ones from november, but modded from the seller. I already make Nandroid Backup from twrp 2.7.8.0. Which wipe should i do?
-Wipe cache\ wipe dalvik cache.
-Wipe data
-Wipe System
-Format Data: Is it optional?
You ll need twrp but better miflash global dev 6.3.17 first to get a Chinese free phone.I'm on Chinese stable 7.3.2.0 (Mi3). Can I use updater app to install the EU version? (7.3.2.0)
Or I should flash it using TWRP?
10x for the answer. You ll need twrp but better miflash global dev 6.3.17 first to get a Chinese free phone.
I tried both ways and got better stability & speedy device starting from a miflash as it formats partitions unlike twrp approach that you just unzip over the existing.10x for the answer.
I have already used TWRP to flash Stable 7.3.2.0. Looks clean. I think I will not miss the Chinese signs
Xiaomi.eu can be flashed using fastboot?I tried both ways and got better stability & speedy device starting from a miflash as it formats partitions unlike twrp approach that you just unzip over the existing.
Then how can you use miflash? From what I know, miflash is working only with fastboot.
I wrote it already in this thread, please review it.Then how can you use miflash? From what I know, miflash is working only with fastboot.
They have some unofficial xiaomi.eu roms over in the miui.en forum. Xiaomi.eu doesn't provide any fastboot rom that can be flashed with miflash officially. Then how can you use miflash? From what I know, miflash is working only with fastboot.
Is possible that Updater not work, already happened even with Redmi Notes 2. Is not necessary to make wipeI coudn't update latest xiaomi.eu gemini 7.3.4.0 stable with updater app it was possible only with twrp. Is it normal? Should I clean dalvik cache after update with twrp?
Yes, it is correct, you must first unlock bootloader > http://en.miui.com/unlock/I bought Mi5 and Redmi 3 Pro from China.
They have some custom Rom on it and I wanted to change the ROM to "xiaomi.eu" latest ROM.
My first step is to root the devices? I noticed that I have to un-lock the Bootloader first, is this correct?
If you don't get verification sms in week, try to continue unlock from http://en.miui.com/unlock/, message could be delayed. Is it true that it takes "ages"? :S
