No, I updated just fine from latest stable HyperOS 1.0 to the latest stable HyperOS 2.0 without formatting.
If that were the case, it would be mentioned in the first post. All informations can be found there.
Clean install is always recommended and sometimes necessary, but not necessary in that case.
Hello guys, just installed it on my 13 Ultra and every time i reboot i get a poput tha "Polaris" has stopped working....wants me to send a bug report to Xiaomi.

Anyway, it works nice except for that little thing every time i reboot..
Xiaomi 13 Ultra again. Phone is unusable.
One press on power to switch off screen turns the screen completely off, no AOD, screen cant be turned back on.
Then it crashes. Other times pressing power button again wakes the screen up but only after 1 minute.
Most of the times, once the scereen is turned off by short pressing power button once the device will have to be rebooted.
