[MI2/MI2S][KERNEL] MiCore 010 for MIUI | Linaro | UV | OC

Hello redmaner,

thanks for your info. i delete the entire content at the init.d-folder created by WIUI. But I’m not sure that this have any effect about my short battery lifetime...
At the Battery Information Mobile Signal are on top (second after screen on). My Network-Signal isn't good at the places where i often (eplus germany ("Aldi-Talk")), can it be the reason???

My Config:
WIUI ROM (latest), MiCore-007M Kernel, TricksterMod (Eco-Mode), Wifi on (at Phone off only when plugged), Bluetooth on, mail with imap push only on wifi, greenify(donate Version) some apps (whatsapp, maps,...), intelli3g for switch 2g/3g at sleep, gps on when apps needed (locus), Google Sync, Whatspp Sync standard.

Usage:
not very often, no playing (i'am at work...), some calls.

I’m frustrated!

Today, after my battery run out i'll send some screen shots about battery-usage (bbs, phone-info,...). I hope, anybody can help...

Edit:

i collect some data from dmesg and i noticed a wakelock at the 3g modem (i hope 'm right):
<6>[ 991.587181] msm_hsic_host msm_hsic_host: HSIC-USB exited from low power mode
<6>[ 993.281122] msm_hsic_host msm_hsic_host: HSIC-USB in low power mode
<6>[ 994.798077] msm_hsic_host msm_hsic_host: HSIC-USB exited from low power mode

<6>[ 1012.281489] msm_hsic_host msm_hsic_host: HSIC-USB in low power mode

this entrys are often at my dmesg-log, can it be fixed?
/Edit:

Last question: should i move this to another thread?

thx

Absolutely not

Yes, this can be one of the reasons. Searching for network costs a lot of battery. I read about it in an article.

(off topic post)

Eplus is very bad! In the past they didn't support energy saving modes (I think they do now) but the bad reception makes your phone's antenna mad.
I had very high battery usage myself.

Consider trying congstar prepaid. Prices are a bit higher but you get Telekom.
And if you really into budget try Netzclub, they give you 100mb/month free and it's o2.

Hope I could help.

Hello Vidar,

i know, eplus have not the best mobile signal coverage, but "Aldi Talk" gives some advantage for my whole family (all members use "Aldi talk"). We live at a "white laction" at the mobile/dsl infrastruktur...

For my problem:

today i started with a fully charged phone at 6 AM and now 1:30 PM only 15% left.

Screen
Time On 45m

Mobile Signal
Time on 6h 39m...
Time without a signal 0%

Phone Idle
Time on 6h 4m

Android System
CPU Total 11m 2s
CPU forground 12s
Keep awake 55m

Android OS
CPU Total 5m 22s

The other idea is: my telefon is defect...

Thx

This doesn't look good indeed, but this is not kernel or rom related at all.
I recommend you to use this app and see if there is something wrong:

Hi!
One question....when i update a ROM (flash), i have to re-flash the kernel, correct? The ROM overwrite it...?!

About that annoying wakelock Helmut.Hartmann noticed on logs , I've had indicated the fix hoping that it could be implemented in this kernel :)

Just to be useful :)
Thanks for your remarkable work
Yes, I am looking at it right now

I have a Problem with flahing ....
Cwm says the package can't open it.

If you are not near wifi, turn it off (use for this eg. Llama), maybe it helps, and do a test again.

We should control CPU voltages. Lower voltages - > better battery ;)
We should find best settings for our device.
Here is some Voltage settings from Nexus 4 users....

Does this command from the n4 thread work for anyone? I'd like to know if I got a "fast" cpu

Code:
1.) Install Terminal Emulator

2.) Type in su and press enter

2.) Reboot your phone

3.) Open Terminal Emulator and type:

su (press enter)

dmesg | grep PVS (press enter again)

I find its 3g that kills my battery. If I'm connected to WiFi it lasts MUCH longer...

I got some reports that pistons don't work fully on this kernel.
I would like to get some logs for that dmesg or kmsg.
If you don't know how to get those try to google it.
Maybe there is an app for it.
Kmsg is the most usefull for me.
Logcats are 100% useless
