New Mi9 - screen gets black bars sometimes on 3.26

I'm experiencing very weird bug on Mi9/3.26 - screen randomly changes size, it is kind if a rectangle, with black bars around. It is shifted to the right. What fixes it is sometimes switching apps and rotating screen, sometimes just rotating the screen. Anyone else?

I'm experiencing this as well with the global rom, very frustrating. I'm about to flash the xiaomi.eu rom so hopefully that corrects it.
