the same peoblem with developer version ROM.
Is not clear, witch metod is the correct.
Now in downloads TWRP from xiaomi.eu there is a new version, but i do not know witch version it is.

1. There was TWRP 1102 in my mi 8 se phone
2. I installed TWRP 1217 with current TWRP 1102 ( because I could not install 1227 in any way)
3. wipe (four wipe)
3. install V.10.2.2.0 with TWRP 1217
4. Every thing is good.
5. also TWRP 1217 still works good

Hi ssenes, so YouTube can confirm that V.10.2.2.0 is based on Android Pie and Installing Witz TWRP 1217 works fine? I thought that 1227 is required for Pie...

I solved it too:
I flashed rom china stable 10.2.1.0 with miflashpro
installed TWRP1102
flashed rom 10.2.2.0 stable eu
Rom installed ok
Twrp 1102 ok

will try to install twrp 1217 too

....

I istalled twrp 1217 and it's ok

One very important question for me.
In the developer versions with android 9, the rotation failed after a few days having to restart. But it's annoying to reboot or record rotated videos.
I would be grateful to the community if, after a week or so, it confirms if this bug is solved.

Ok, thanks, finally, is better no change TWRP and use 1102 version or 1217, but not 1227

Hi nos139 I just did the update on the MI 8 if manually installing the package and doing a swipe dalvin cake and cake before doing the installation. Everything went well. I hope I've been helpful

i updated mi5 to miui 10.2.2.0 from 10.2.1.0 STABLE
And got bug with homebar. In the previous version, the number of app icons was 6, then I tried to move the app icon of Telegram to the desktop, but I cant do this in reverse order. Someone can help?

From what I have read in other forums, you can not install via fastboot, you must do the described process
Anyway it is easy to try it by fastboot.

Hello! I had troubles with this new ROM. So, now I can't back to the older ROM because my TWRP is DEAD!
My finger print stoped to work! The automatic rotation stoped to, and my aproximity sensor doesn't work!

If no boot android, start in fastboot Mode, and boot in recovery Mode from there, and install ROM again

Olá, meu Mi8 SE teve problemas no sensor de digital e no desbloqueio por padrão! Tive problemas também no giro automático da tela e sensor de aproximação! Ajuda!
