..also noted a small issue with the defualt clock widget.. trying to select a theme for it from via the widget settings icon on the add/edit widgets screen gives an "unable to connect to network" error when the "online tab" is selected. otherwise, using the theme app to change themes works fine (themes that change the clock work as expected)

still.. the issue with changing the notification sound for whatsapp still exists​

when I choose to change it.. it opens the theme selection screen instead!! not the ringtone selection dialog..​

p.s. back in the good ol' GB days, I remember there was an awesome MIUI custom battery monitor which is way more better and detailed that the stock, any chance of having it back ?​

I downloaded miuiandroid_maguro-2.8.17.zip twice from OP. Both times I got the md5sum of b25d44d056d5ecf24766bb7bcc588885. No the 9ef76441d852567595a9bd1eb62e138d from the OP and http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/miui-rom-2-8-17-ics-jellybean.17608/page-9#post-134521)

Also after flashing I still have issues with GPS and cannot find Google Now (as installed application). Something wrong with the links?

I installed this on top of my miui builds as an update for my htc sensation. However, when I open google maps, the phone just automatically reboot after 5 sec... I did the fix permissions, clear dalvik and cache, but nothing help!

2.8.17 has been giving good battery performance, or at least I seem to think so.
Full Charge to 1% in 29 Hours, with 1.5 Hours screen time & 1 Hour of voice calls. Is this good or average?

Im sure this will be included in time - MIUI 4.1 is fresh and new so main thing above all is to see that it is widely accepted as stable and solid before we start to see all the goodness being poured in to it. So far the feedback has been amazing and promising.

Uninstall google maps
Reboot to recovery
Clear dalvik
Clear Cache
Reboot as normal
Install google maps

Done.

Because this is not the right forum to ask questions or report bugs.

If you search the forum you will find that the WhatsApp bug is not a Miui bug, but an incompatability.

The batterymonitor is a stock ics function. Maybe they upgrade it sometime.. But there are lots of apps on play store...

This has been already said and discussed a million times - the weather widget which is included in MiUI release only works for China. End of story.

Unless, of course, you dig in MiUI.es; they offered weather for Europe, USA and America... you can check here!
