Tried the new fixed upload but it didn't fix it for me. I've just installed it with CWM. No wipe/clear data/cache or anything else! Is there any other method?

I hope not :( Too many problems with Blackrose...
Yes, it is required. Though IDK what problems you are talking about... I flashed blackrose couple of months ago and didn't face single issue. Just follow instructions from XDA step by step

There is a problem since 2.7.27 (earlier versions didn't have this problem). When I'm entering the mobile networks operators menu (Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators), I get a error message com.android.phone has stopped. I have reported this issue to MIUI however even on 2.8.3 this issue/bug is present. I can't use my phone (GT-I9100) in roaming :( Hope the MIUI team will fix this (as ussuall)
Yep, I can confirm this. I have also Galaxy S2. As a temporary solution I've switched Phone.apk from older release (I think 2.6.x) and everything works fine. Hope guys from MIUI will find the problem soon. There is also another problem with storage - I have external micro sd card and file explorer doesn't show free space on the card at all and total space is the sum of the phone internal storage + external sd card capacity. Sometimes the phone takes some time to show data on external card especially if usb storage is disconnected from PC. It is quiet annoying. There is still this lock screen lag (CM9 doesn't suffer from this issue - the last nightly build is super stable and fast, the only thing which is missing is radio - hope this will be implemented soon and then we see the best MIUI port based on CM9 ever :)) and also this 2 seconds home button click delay is pretty annoying :) Anyway, thanks devs for great job!

I don't know if any one else has the same problem but the permission manager crashes every time I first start a root app, I can manually allow it but it would be nice if you address the problem to xiaomi in order to fix it, I have a Nexus S i9023 thanks in advance

I have been using miuiandroid rom for SGS2 for quite a while now but the recent bugs like mobile network roaming issue, permission problems and low headset volume have finally convinced me to switch to another ROM. I am now using a MIUI rom based on CM9. This rom offers the stability of CM9 with the beautiful interface of MIUI. The best of both world really.

I would love to come back to miuiandroid rom one day as I considered this a "pure" MIUI ROM but would only do so when MIUI is more stable and all basic functionalities are working properly.

Here's the Phone.apk, however only in english. But it has also few glitches (but dunno if all this is related to Phone.apk) e.g. bad contact photo during a call or sms notifications are not displayed on lockscreen, only after the phone is unlocked and locked again, strange. Give it a try and let me know.

I would also like to know which version of CM9 with MIUI do you use ? I've tried pure CM9 nightly build from yesterday and it is super fast and stable. Everything worked as expected. But I will stay with MIUI because its UI is amazing. The only thing missing is FM radio. Hope they will add it soon! And I'm sure with combination with MIUI it will be the best ICS rom ever :)

There was in issue with that a while ago. Seems that the apk you have used still has that bug.

I've used MIUI 2.8.3 from miuiandroid and seems the bug is still there. However, I've found newest cMIUI which is based on CM9 very stable and fast and there is also MIUI 2.8.3. Everything works perfectly and I've bought 3rd party radio app so now I have fully working MIUI 2.8.3 rom based on CM9 with no home button delay because of that stupid voice stuff. Everything is pretty smoooth, also sms notifiaction on lock screen works fine - this do not work with MIUI 2.8.3 from miuiandroid. Also network operator selection works great and I can finally use manual operator selection instead of automatic selection. For me it is actually the best rom. CM9 rocks! :)

I also tried the cMIUI youre referring to but it had the common SD mount issue, cant see it. Ive used Directory Bind etc in the past as the OP admitted they havent fixed this yet but every now and then the bind wouldnt work or on reboot i had to reenable it etc so it became a nuissance regarding not being able to see my SD.
I am currently on RGUI MIUI and this feature works perfect. It always sees the SD, ex SD cards no problems.
Can you confirm if you are having problems seeing your SD with such a 3rd party app as this is a clincher for me moving back over because as you said, it would ideally be the best of 2 worlds.

Have you tried the newest cMIUI ? It is from 4.8 and I haven't encountered any problems with sd card - on the contrary it works perfectly in comparison with muiandroid release where file exploler has problems recognize the card and doesn't display remaining space. I strongly recommend to try newest cMIUI - for me everything runs perfectly and it is extremelly smooth. Btw, I don't like miuiandroid lockscreen animation which fade out with a lag which is anoying, didn't find a way how to change it to classic lockscreen animation. Also locksreen sound is delayed - it plays appx second or two after the screen goes black. But these are only cosmetics isssues :)

Same here, cmiui 2.8.3 does not recognize my external sd card.

Not sure if you are aware but like all CM9 ROM, the external sd card for cMIUI is available under "/mnt/emmc/", not "/mnt/sdcard/external_sd" as in miuiandroid.

As a result, I have a few issues restoring backups from miuiandroid as certains apps, like mxplayer, still refers to the previous folder path. All these can be easily updated within the apps once you know where to find the external sd card.

Apology to MarkHuk for discussing about other ROMs here but we are just trying to assist others. After all, we are all MIUI users and really apppreciate it.

100% agree. Whilst some are exploring other variations, its predominately MIUI as it looks so damn good and functions so smooth. Definitely a very polished ROM in terms of overall performance.
Ps Just on a side note, remountSD worked great this time. Ex SD recognised fine although first attempt it was listed as EMMC in the file exp yet upon reboot its now External SD. I dont care, it works :)
