Outdated firmware, wanting to get up to date

Hey fellas!

I've enjoyed Xiaomi.eu for a while, and was lucky to get a version that was very stable.
But I've noticed that I've missed quite a few additions to newer versions, plus G-pay don't work anymore.


My device is a Xiaomi 11T Pro (Vili),
running MIUI 13 stable (V13.0.3.0.SKDMIXM) since two years

Which is the latest version I can update to without doing a wipe?
Prefer to not make a wipe since otherwise I will need to visit a bank to get my banking app-id to work again
Can I follow instructions posted here on forums? I used fastboot previously, but I guess TWRP is needed nowadays?

Thankful for any guidance, and I will try to keep more updated in the future

You can update to the latest released MIUI 14 or the current HyperOS without data loss.
It is possible to update in TWRP or fastboot method.

After ROM update you need to install this app for contactless payment to work. XiaomiEUModule_2024.05.22.apk

Another question, am I correct if I understand that I can update to MIUI 14 and later to HyperOS without any wipes, but if I go the full route to HyperOS I must wipe in order to downgrade to MIUI 14?

- installing/updating ROM does not require any wipe/Format Data.
- installing an older ROM version (downgrade) requires "Format Data".
MIUI support has been discontinued.
