New Paypal app crashes

Ever since I installed XM.eu ROM (Clean install from fastboot), my PayPal app crashes right at the moment when receiving the 2fa code for first login.

Device: shennong, xiaomi.eu weekly ROM 24.3.4, rooted with magisk 27.0.0

All banking apps (including PayPal), and all Google apps including service framework are on magisk denylist and besides PayPal, everything works perfectly. Play Store is certified via integrity fix module.

Anyone got an idea about what this is caused by or how to solve?

I don't really feel like making a logcat about a banking login, I hope u understand.

I received the tip to use authenticator instead of SMS works perfectly. Thanks to @Mindworker

You can complete the registration when you switch the 2fa to use the authenticator app. After that the app will not crash during 2fa authentication. This worked for me OnePlus 10/Magisk
