Hi guys. I have a problem with my Mi5S with Xiaomi.eu 7.1.20 ROM.
After few days of usage I noted a strange battery drain, especially when the phone is in idle.
Looking for the reason of this drain I found that qfp-service (fingerprint sensor) is doing hundreds of wakelocks, here some screen.

Anyone else with this problem? Is this a bug or an hardware problem?
Any possibility to solve it?

I already done a clean flash of the ROM, but nothing changed.

Don't see anything like that in my statistics or wakelocks by fingerprint.
Maybe you need to reflash the rom or maybe you need to wipe data.

Well I'm still running 7.1.19 and I'm enjoying it very much. The battery still needs improvements but it's stable enough comparing with the last 3 realeases from weekly's.

Yeah sure, battery is awesome, I'm doing almost 1 and half day without charging. But without 20 minutes of useless wakelocks battery could be better

I already did this two times, clean flash of 7.1.12 and 7.1.19.
Are you using fingerprint to unlock?
Yes i use it everyday. Also i installed wakelock detector a week ago and i cant find something like that for fingerprint which drains battery.

Wakelock detector with advanced mode? qfp-service is under Android System.

So lets disable fingerprint for a couple of days and see the results. If its the reason for draining the battery, we have to live with this.

I agree with you but what makes you think that xiaomi cares so much? I mean did you see any improvement to their camera software or the battery draining in some cases? They prefer to put big batteries in smartphones like redmi note series than to make the software better. For example galaxy s7 edge has the same sot such as a redmi note 3 pro but with a 3.500MAh battery and much bigger screen resolution. Why xiaomi cant do the same?

they will.. maybe everyone should write a mail once in a week to them. then they are so confused and on the edge that theyll give us a fixed rom with 3 days of standby and without qfp wakelocks.

Maybe. But their plans at the moment is to bring in the market new devices every 3 months. They dont care so much for the software part.

A couple of friends with Chinese Dev ROM say that they haven't any problem with qfp-service and battery is awesome. I think the problem is with Xiaomi.eu ROM
