Question about warranty in Europe

Hello, I am thinking of purchasing a used Xiaomi MI2 from a person who bought it from ibuygou. I know that the warranty is 1 year only, but wanted to ask if the European law for electronic devices is applied which offers 2 years and if it does would a shop like ibuygou accept it?

It's the only reason holding me back, since I haven't heard anything about Xiaomi and warranties here in Europe. For the same price I could go with a MotoG(new) although I prefer the MI2.

Of course not. Xiaomi is not selling anything in Europe so they don't care about European laws. You will get 1 year.

Someone here says you get a lifetime warranty and Steve Jobs will pick up your phone at your door... the person did not say whether Steve would take the phone back to Xiaomi ^^
