Resolved RTL writing bug in some MIUI apps

Ah.. rPS? I didn't know about this code. Well you can do it yourself. Just copy styles.xml from Hebrew translation from framework-miui-res to yours and push commit to git. Or ingbrzy will change that later.

I'll let you know for message quick reply as soon as I can test it.

As it seems to me there are no regression for LTR languages, do you think this fixes may be uploaded to other languages (UI in LTR language and write in LTR and RTL)?

Thank you Medina, I'll take a look (but as a beginer in Xiaomi world, I don't know if ClockworkMod Recovery is supported by Mi2S) and as it is a requirement to flash your rom... But look like promising... :)

As far as I know ClockworkMod Recovery is supported by Mi2S but you can take a look at the official thread for confirmation.

Hello guys, I just found this topic today and I was very happy to see that there is a solution to my mi-2 phone.
After migrating from en.miui rom to the last miuiandroid rom I can see no difference (Hebrew).
what happened to the fix?

Thanks

are you using multilang rom..?

The fix went into multilang instead miui core? strange...
So if I install the multilang I get the fix even if I stay on English interface?

yes... just set English lang with Hebrew locale..

I did it and guess what, It really works!
Goodbye en.miui.com hello miuiandroid :)

btw: after installing both roms (english and multilang), there is no indication that I am using miuiandroid rom and not miui rom(settings -> about)...?

we dont brand our ROM... you dont see it, you just feel it... :)

There you go - screenshots of the "Language & Input" settings screen and the language selection itself.

Is this the way it is supposed to look?
In a matter of full disclosure - since my device is encrypted I had to update it manually using this guide:
http://miuiandroid.com/community/posts/173449/

And I upgraded from miuiandroid 3.8.9 to miuiandroid_lang 3.8.9 this way too.

Thanks!
