TWRP for Android 12 (MI 10, and other models )

Hello i will try to explane in few lines how to get working twrp on latest dev version on android 12. ONLY TESTED ON MI 10 UMI !!!!

Before u upgrade (of u can reupgrade again if u did already) go to fastboot and install this TWRP

- MI 10 or twrp from camerado folder that seems even better HERE

Other releases u can find on camerado share folder HERE


DO AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!!!!

STEP 1
- Enable usb debug, OEM unlock in developer settings

STEP 2
- Download SDK platform tools (adb and fastboot) HERE
- Extract it from zip
-Open CMD and go to that folder where u extracted it (type in cmd cd C:\adb) if u extract on partition C in adb folder platform tools)
- Type (adb reboot bootloader) to boot in fastboot mode
- In fastboot enter fastboot flash recovery (name of file).img ( u need to download your image file from links upper in this post, and copy it in the same folder where u are with your cmd screen and where u extract platform tools
- Reboot to recovery (fastboot reboot recovery)
- U shoud get in a recovery but its very limited ( i cant even flush davlink cache)
- Go to Advanced and click "Install Magisk Alpha"
- Reboot in normal mode (to system OS)
- Download & install magisk canary manager apk DOWNLOAD
- Open new installed apk
- U shoud have now old twrp version show in magisk
- Open magisk options and change to canary update channel
- Go back to main magisk screen
- U shoud have update button for new magisk version. click it
- Choose direct install (Recommended)


If is working please report its late here maybe i miss something.

Note: If u dont have a "store" in magisk remove magisk apk then install stable one DOWNLOAD

- As u can notice there is not repo in magisk, as i know magisk dev start to work for google. U can read all about HERE

- So there is some alternatives. Use fork magisk from HERE

- And use alternative magisk repo using THIS apk. And fork repo is HERE

Yes, if you follow step by step you will have magisk correctly installed.

Im think i will need to. I didnt realy test it on new version also if u broke something u have much chance to fix it over official steps for upgrading over fastboot provided by xiaomi.eu. So its hard to broke something

I installed twrp umi for a12, and I have my 10 8/12/21 ROMs installed. magisk canary, my only problem is with twrp, when it does not detect my password, nor does it give me the option to place it and twrp does not have access to internal storage, if you know how to solve this problem I would appreciate your comments

Next issue.. .Anyone know how to get MagiskHide to work again on Android 12 now?
Suport is no longer there

Maybe some other solution?

Have it working..

Needed a lot of tweaking the get all the components of the work profile hidden.. AirWatch crap com.microsoft.windowsintune.companyportal stuff..

But it works now ..

magisk it is other things u need to check im not sure i have mi 10 so i cant test
