Why is more than 1080P available on YouTube?

I think this doesn't make sense. Mi 9T has a Full HD screen, it will only waste more mobile data unnecessarily. (If it's on automatic).

In the official MIUI it did not allow me to put more than 1080P on YouTube.

Are you seriously complaining about this.you can set it to play only in 1080,it's a great feature to be able to select higher,you might be steaming on WiFi and casting to a 4k tv

If my internet was stable, I would leave it 1080P default, haha.
