I selected the italian language, still the caller's location is shown in chinese.
Did you manage to fix it, somehow?

Good to hear I'm not alone. But unfortunately I'm still looking for a solution.

Maybe we should look into replacing the Dialer.apk from a clean CM10.2 ROM in the system/app folder? Do you have any experience with that?

Seems very easy to make a CWM flashable zip to replace the Dialer correctly.

Seems very easy to make a CWM flashable zip to replace the Dialer correctly.

I tried it by taking the Dialer.apk from the CM10.2 ROM by M1cha (found here: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/rom-jb-4-3-cyanogenmod-10-2.22016)

But unfortunately I still have the same Chinese signs when receiving calls. In the Dialer app itself (call history) it does show the location in English though.

I own an android phone only since a few months, so I'm still looking for my way into it...
Anyway, if you have the .apk I think you can just install it: it will overwrite the previous one.
Coming to the issue: I flashed M1cha's rom in system1 and this one in system2.
I didn't notice the caller's location on M1cha's rom, so either I just didn't notice it, or this feature is coming from another package (possibly untranslated).
Anyway, this is just my guess, I'll try to dig deeper into it when I have more time.
My first choice would still be M1cha's rom (when it's working properly).

I'm having a problem with the OTG, with this ROM.
When I plug in a USB key (fat32) it is mounted correctly and I can see its contents with a file browser.
Anyway, I cannot find any option to unmount it before disconnecting it.
Am I missing something?
Is there any setting to tweak/change?

I made a clear install with all the Wipe's in my MI 2S and battery is draining fast with 4.3.1...I came from 4.2.2 version and the battery there was very good but the ROM i used before as some bug's...
Also Antutu score now is lower, but this is no problem for me, i just want the thinks working fine and maximum battery with good performance if possible =)

Same to me, battery drain is killing my phone in no time without even using it. But i just realized that is Wifi thats causing battery drain.
Wifi on, no 3g, no bt, no gps, all apps closed except Whatsapp (almost no use), no calls or messages, screen off almost all the time = huge battery drain.
Same but Wifi OFF, no battery drain at all.

It is possible your keyboard won't work anymore by flashing this zip. Just go to settings and choose your input method and language again for your keyboard. If that doesn't work, install Google Keyboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin) and try the previous steps again.

Just to be certain, I can flash it over my current CM install and all settings, apps, etc remain the same, right?

Oh and nobody knows what package causes the callers location to be shown in Chinese? Everybody on this ROM should have this issue right?

Yes, if your current build also is a cofface build (and not M1cha). Just wipe cache and dalvik cache first, do NOT wipe your data.

If your keyboard doesn't work after flashing, follow my guide in my previous post.

Ill try to export the AOSP keyboard from previous release and then import it if its not working. I love that keyboard with the simbols in the keys.

EDIT: I cant find the AOSP Keyboard... actually i found some LatinIME.apk (im using spanish keyboard) but not the generic apk.

I don't quite understand what you mean. It is the stock android keyboard application, applicable to any ROM. Just copy it to the root of your sd-card, install it and go to settings/language and chose it as your input method.

There are lots of AOSP keyboards, but not all have the simbols in the keys like the one in this rom, thats what i meant.

Bug in new version. Camera autofocus is not working correctly at short distance in low or no light condition WITH flash. Autofocus freezes and you cant take the picture or go back. Disabling the flash seems to work.

Ok, i tried the previous camera app and same results, and other camera apps the same. When flash saturates autofocus they freeze (both, autofocus and flash).

I never tried this in previous version (20131012). So if anyone can try and confirm, we can say its camera kernel problem.

The m1cha's one use Mako (nexus 4) kernel and it's open source, the cofface's one use closed soruce kernel and we have a huge battery drain.
They're both good, but the better is the m1cha one

M1cha's Rom will be great once Xiaomi release their Kernel so he can add camera and other stuff. Cofface's Rom its really good because almost everything is working, but the battery drain is huge.

PD: can anyone confirm the freeze with autofocus and flash saturation in this rom??
