[ROM][Official][4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 Nightlies for the Xiaomi MI2 (aries)

Hi,

First of all thank you very much for your hard work M1cha and Linuxx!

After reading the topics for a while, I installed the rom for my self. Last Sunday I installed the 20140624 build. It works pretty well, but I experienced 4 hard reboots since then. Today I noticed the reboots and I copied the contents of /proc/last_kmsg.

Contents after first reboot: http://pastebin.com/gbC08XMJ
Contents after seconde reboot (5 minutes after first reboot): http://pastebin.com/RJ4GkPmv

Hope you can figure something out to fix this !

Thanks

Anyway,it looks its isolated issue, possible hardware problem.

Here I found something.

  1. [ 2.354766] power_supply usb: driver failed to report `present' property: 4294967274
  2. [ 2.354980] power_supply pm8921-dc: driver failed to report `present' property: 4294967274
  3. [ 2.355133] power_supply usb: driver failed to report `present' property: 4294967274

Gotta say i m totally satisfied after flashing official built. I had a problem with Swiftkey keyboard on the 15th built, but flashing 18 th built solved the issue. Anyways, it seems gallery is unable to show images from within a app. For example i tried to import image from gallery for instagram, but it showed only one image. Rest thumbnail images are all blank. and then tried to set User image from notification panel. Same case there.

See the screenshot below-

So today in the Netherlands they made use of the cell broadcast warning feature because there was a fire. The problem is the "NL-Alert" didn't work. Since the feature is in CM11 I assume that it should work but it didn't, is this a bug or simply not supported?
I live in the Netherlands too.
I think it's more an NL-alert problem then a CyanogenMod problem

This is not gallery, it's the buggy aosp document app, just open left menu and select gallery, here you'll be able to pick the file as always

Hi All!

I'd love to use Cyanogenmod, but I found a very annoying problem, actually since the first CM releases on MI2..and this is the audio playback:

The issue is that the played songs sound like they are pitched down with half or one note and also the pace seems to be a bit slower and occasionally there are some prickles in the sound which is very annoying and don't need to be a musician to hear it... :S

In earlier releases (last time I tried it was 1-2 months earlier) I only faced it with bluetooth headset, but with the last nightly I can hear it via speaker and wired headset also..youtube, apollo..no matter what :(

Initially I was thinking it is related something like this: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39633 (A2DP playback sampling rate issue..) but now that I hear it via speaker and headset, I'm not sure..

Anybody recognized this issue? Perhaps the legacy audio drivers? Any guess, ideas to fix?

P.S.: I really think it is a kernel related issue...as I faced it with other ROMs (aosp...) with M1cha's kernel

Dsp manager equalizer? Have you set it? I noticed pitch shifted too when the equalizer is on...maybe some problem using it with the bass boost on

ok...its REALLY weird.. I was trying to upload a sample recording for you to hear, so I copied the very same file to the phone again where it sounded very badly but suddenly that (same) file was played well :O and also ALL the others :)
Youtube, videos, etc... I really don't get it .. but apparently now its OK :D

I don't know if I can reproduce it somehow, maybe a reflash sometime later..Lets use CM :)

So you don't have an equalization set with dsp manager? My problem I think was with some kind of equalization combined with bass boost

Haha, I'm not from the future :) I meant to say that I'm using the 20140614 build :)

Anyway, when I was running MIUI I never had any reboots, so I doubt it's a hardware problem.

Today I had two more reboots. Does anyone know how to get more information about why my phone reboots?

I disabled true dual boot any way to disable the question what partition i want to update every time? So that it just acts like the MIUI OTA updates?

Also i keep having the problem that i need to give in my pincode a few times a day. I use nova launcher I'm not sure if that could cause the problem or does everyone have it?

Just choose the one you boot :)

Dunno why some users have reboots and some never (like me) provide last_kmsg as always

Ok, Thanks for the clarification linuxx. btw, I m currently having audio playing issues. It seems, there is some sorts of audio distortion when i play audio via headphone and simultaneously do other things, leaving audio background. Its more obvious when i enter the app drawer or pull down the notification panel, or screenlock the device. Its like there is a sudden ' pause' in between music. Anyone else having such type of issue?

I've also experienced no reboots since going official cm.
The ROM also feels better overall, and some annoying bugs I've had are gone, though the ROM should be more or less the same as the unofficial builds, so perhaps I'm just imagining things. lol

Also sometimes reboot. Most of the times due to a freeze in game or fb maybe once a day max
