but like I said happens very rarely and always in an app/ freeze / reboot not a biggy, prolly best to do a clean fresh install, always flashed over michas releases

Even the unofficial ROM's use many closed source binaries
QCOM is one of the most closed platforms. They add hacks to the kernel which allow them to write drivers as a executable binary(i.e. camera) just to get around GPL.

Also i keep having the problem that i need to give in my pincode a few times a day. I use nova launcher I'm not sure if that could cause the problem or does everyone have it?

What Do you mean with pin code? SIM card or screen lock?
If it is screen lock, there are two options:
Easiest way is to use profiles. You can set up profiles like home and car to disable screen lock, and trigger profiles f. ex. When phone is connected to home wlan or car Bluetooth.
You can as well use tasker to setup these profiles, you can import similar profiles from tasker wiki (and explanations how to set them up).

Alright after having some sound issues last time; I've decided to give this a retry and first test seems to be superb! Hope this continues in this line! But so far I'm loving it! Anyway had issue, tried power saving profile (conservative ) then lock thè screen it doesn't wake up after 3 minutes and nothing response. Had To reboot with power button And volume up.
Now balanced with interactive governor everything ok

Yes. If you look at the list of security bugs unveiled after 4.1 u see that its just stupid to use it. And that includes miui.

Thisis called open source. Miui will stuck on 4,1 for the rest of its life because of its closed source nature..
Press the power button several times, it happends on my nexus 7 too but not on mi2s

On my nexus7 i nave ondemand, when it happends, but on my mi2s I sometime use conservative and I don't have these problems

Blame windows, every device using kk may have problem with windows' mtp drivers. Install adb

How long does the initial boot take?
Yesterday I tried to flash CM, wiped all before but CM boot got round and round and nothing else.
Don't know if it was a bad build or just me being impatient

The sad thing is that there is not any complete red theme, with full icons support for cyanogen theme engine.
