Then try to connect your phone to pc as you are now in twrp , if you don't see anything you have to do a format data.
Ok, I returned to the TWRP main menu, removed the USB Flash Drive and reconnected the phone with my PC. The Windows Explorer now shows the entry "Mi 10", but I don't have access to any folder or file, which is within the Internal Storage of the phone. So I cannot copy the ROM (as ZIP or extracted?) into the phone this way.
If you found "sdcard" folder and it's empty then you have to do a format data ..
My phone (MI 10) doesn't even have an SDCard slot.
Shall I nevertheless hit the "Wipe" button?

If you already have OTG USB, why don't you simply copy the ROM to it (on your PC) stick it back to the phone and proceed with flashing?

I have already tried that (with the ROM as *.ZIP file and extracted), but the installation did not even start.

You have to choose storage - OTG, not internal storage. Then select the ROM.zip file from the otg.
And by the way, when people say here "sd card" they mean internal storage.

As long as you can access your phone that's good. When you open the "Mi10" it's empty because your data partition is formatted, this empty.
Open "Mi10" and go ahead copying your ROM.zip file (not extracted).

@m@c|-|oR:
As I already have reported it is not possible to get any file copied into the Windows Explorer entry "Mi 10".
Meanwhile I have tried again to get the ROM installed by connecting the USB with the ROM ZIP in it.
The related *.ZIP file has not been detected by the TWRP. Here are the pictures:

I am really sorry mate, but I ran out of ideas.
It is really strange that the phone doesn't recognize the otg usb plugged in.
Maybe it has something to do with the filesystem, I don't know.
Maybe others could help.
Did I suggest you before Miflash and the fastboot ROM as the last resort?

Edit: or did you try format data and reboot to twrp and see if the things have changed? Make sure that the filesystem is f2fs when doing this. May not help, but can't harm you either.

No, I didn't try to format or wipe data.
This was the beginning of my desaster: My MI 10 phone gave me the message, that a new stable MIUI version v12.2.2.7 is available and asked me, whether it shall be downloaded. I agreed and the download finished successfully. Then I got the message, that my data are encrypted and that I need to enter the related password to get access again to my device. Then my Mi 10 turned into the "FASTBOOT" mode and I couldn't do anything (no turn off, no reboot, no TWRP mode).

The used OTG USB has been FAT32 formatted. How can I get it f2fs formatted? My Windows OS cannot do it.
Meanwhile I have successfully restored the TWRP main menu by entering the following fastboot commands:

Hello, someone has solutions to get google pay again working? With the latest upgrade it recognises my MI10 as modified and doesn't accept cards

Use magisk to pass safetynet. It works great.

It's data partition that I was referring to that has to be f2fs.
Again, I cannot help you from this point. Sorry, maybe the gremlins will go away tomorrow.
When booted to twrp, were you asked for a password to decrypt the file system?
I wish you a happy new year, mate.

No, I didn't get the opportunity to enter the password (I know it for sure). I just got the message, that I will have to enter the password once the ROM update will be completed.
Thanks for your help anyway!
I wish you a happy and healthy New Year as well.

Now you wrote what exactly do ..
Go to twrp and reboot to system , disable all fingerprints and pin ..
Then enter twrp again and you will see everything inside ..

@gkalen: Thank you very much for your advices.
With your help I was able to recover my MI 10 and to get the stable EU.ROM v12.2.2.7 properly flashed.
After having entered TWRP again I was able to see for the first time since yesterday the Internal Storage of my Mi 10 and was able to copy the ROM into my phone.
I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!

Hi, thanks for the steps ... I just want to know if data deletion is necessary, or can I just wipe cache and devilk?
No data deletion is not needed but i did it for the sake of calmness you can just update the rom and then delete dalvik amd cache and your good to go. Rom should boot. If dalvik is not deleted it might end up in twrp again or fastboot

Hi All, Mi 9 here just updated to the latest ROM, Android 11...

Gestures instead of buttons not working?

If I turn the gestures on and get rid of the on screen buttons, the buttons go but the gestures don't work.

Any ideas?

- I fear that I'll be stuck with it til next update and that'll take some getting used to lol!
