Fingerprint icon covers the numeric keypad when entering PIN code issue is not workaround related. It was there before just can't be reproduced all the time.

Since variable font is disabled, then sure, that's how it should look like...

WORKAROUND FOR Android 12 Gmail (and other apps) lags
Temporary workaround:
Settings -> Display -> Font settings -> uncheck "System-wide variable font" and confirm the "Restart Device" dialog.

Aside from the lag and stutter on some of the google apps like Gmail, Play Store and Google chat that people already mentioned here anyone else facing the same issue on other apps like Twitter and Reddit?

yes, I have at least... Snapchat is barely usable on this build; it's extremely laggy.

I'm still confused as to why this is happening. Did Google and/or Xiaomi break something? Is it outdated code? I simply don't know...

EDIT: Disabling systemwide font removes lag from the apps... Android 12 broke variable fonts in MIUI

To disable systemwide font:
Settings -> Display -> Font settings -> uncheck "System-wide variable font" and confirm the "Restart Device" dialog.

Still safe to flash. Anyway no header error if extract with WinRAR.

doesnt work on my mix 4 with latest miui update, seems makes it even lag harder then before and app crashes multiple times (gmail)

Need to set font to default roboto as well then disable system wide variable font and reboot device
