Problem with 3.party launcher: when I use the taskmanager, most of the apps lost the overview picture and are not tick able. Only the title bar is visible but I can't bring the app back to foreground. See screenshot, only chrome is tap able.

3. then once botted in twrp - I copied Twrp back up from PC to the Phone's TWRP folder and try to restore it but it never booted again and stuck on Mi logo

I think its bricked now ?
I think its not bricked. I think it depends on what you have restored.

- install again with miflash, dont lock bootloader
- make the setup
- set a pin/password/pattern in your phone
- reboot
- check if everything is ok

And my suggestion...
- then boot into twrp (# fastboot boot twrp.img)
- it should ask you for your pin/pattern or pw
- format data in twrp not wipe
- reboot
- install all apps from scratch.

If you want to restore something…
- boot into twrp again (# fastboot boot twrp.img)
- it should ask you for your pin/pattern or pw
- format data in twrp not wipe
- reboot
- boot into twrp again (# fastboot boot twrp.img)
- it should ask you for your pin/pattern or pw
- then only restore data

Remember: You cant use TWRP on Android 12 for installing xiaomi.eu rom

good luck!

I don't know if this is a known issue or intended behavior (i doubt it is) but when i double tap to wake from aod, it doesn't work. Anybody else with this issue? (Poco F2 Pro/lmi)

If you dont find the search function in this forum, I think it will be a challenge to find the 3way boot menu…

Answer from igor: can't be implemented yet on Android 12.
Now that Android 12 is released for Mi 10, I took the time to implement and test that ;)
Same for "Collapse after touch".

This issue has been for a while on newer MIUI launcher versions. Don't use a third-party launcher then, this isn't something we can fix.

Android Auto issue as mentioned by Others users. Seems to be an issue with false DPI settings.

Successfully flashed on a Poco F2 Pro! Big thanks to AmonShire for the guide on the 'hanging black screen' on ADB!

Would I be right in saying I have to flash future roms via 'fastboot' now I'm on Miui 12?

Off topic does anyone elses TWRP take quite a while to get passed the welcome screen? Mine does! Hopefully they bring out an update to be able to flash that way again without the use of a PC

Top work to the devs btw, keep up the great work

Welcome to Android 12. This is a feature added by Google.
Those who wish to permanently disable the camera/microphone usage indicators , use this command using ADB:
Code:
adb shell cmd device_config put privacy camera_mic_icons_enabled false default
And to disable location usage indicators (if you still have them visible for some reason) use this command:
Code:
adb shell cmd device_config put privacy location_indicators_enabled false default
* To re-enable, replace "false" with "true".

The following command will add a "Status bar location indicator" switch at the end of Developer options:
Code:
adb shell cmd device_config put privacy location_indicator_settings_enabled true default
Unfortunately, there is no equivalent Developer option for camera/microphone indicators as of now.
heey, thanks, these commands work for me, but when I restart my phone, the camera/microphone usage indicators, they reappear in the upper left corner.
Don't you have a solution please?

On my mi11 lite 5g (renoir) this notification appears. I've tried practically everything to remove it and I can't. Someone help?
use old menu style, it should remove this - settings - notification and control center - control center style ..

So far on Mi 10 Ultra I can confirm that this is the first A12 rom which is not randomly crashing and freezing.
The only one persisting problem is the random "Android System Intelligence has stopped working"...

Register your valid credit card in GPay and voilla ...
  1. Sign in to Payment methods.
  2. At the bottom, click Add payment method.
  3. Click Add credit or debit card.
  4. Enter your card info.
  5. If you’re asked to verify your payment method, choose an option from the list.
  6. Find and enter the verification code.
Note: After you add a card, you might see a small temporary charge on your account from Google. This charge checks that your card and account are valid. It won’t affect your balance and will go away soon.
I can't add, because i see message, like: that the device does not fit....

How can I perform factory reset(umi)? Cause if I try to do it via settings it will just throw me to TWRP, right? And TWRP cannot decrypt data..

- Download our ROM zip file
- Unpack downloaded zip file in the PC
- Reboot your device to fastboot mode (press volume down + power)
- Connect to PC via USB cable
- Run fastboot installation script from unpacked zip according your PC operating system

For Windows OS ./windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat
For Linux ./linux_fastboot_update_rom.sh
For MacOS ./macos_fastboot_update_rom.sh
But does the bootloader have to be open?

Really need your help. I am on Xiaomi Mi 10 and do exactly as under: but nothing happen. I'm in fastboot mode of course...thank you very much
