It seems like this rom is based on the cyanogenmod? Transitions are choppy and some animations are just laggy as hell.

you have to do full wipe... unofficial is AOSP based and OFFICIAL is based on Samsung ROM....

just now, installed 3.4.12 on my SGS3.
but i can't use other launcher.
on apex launcher, occur FC when i add the widget.
(all other launcher is same. for example nova launcher..)
how to solve this problem??

Looks like this week's rom is based on Sammy Stock rom. The size of this week's file is 271mb while last week's unofficial one was 185mb.

Thats right...i tried it on my wife's phone and this week it is definitely stock based. So will have to wipe again.

Installed on mine last night(GT-N7100) and now my external sd card is reporting to be blank, worked fine on v4 guessing I should have wiped before updating,
Thanks guys for this BEAUTIFUL rom. Absolutely fun to use and to look at. I know it's one of the first releases so things will improve over time, but quite some apps don't work properly. Tweedly for example doesn't even start up. Because of the (kind of) huge icons on my Note 2 I wanted to use a third party launcher. However, most of them won't let me add widgets and FC....i'm gonna try ingbrzy's suggestion. Finally, as a european user, the date format isn't consistant in this rom. One time the dateformat is correct, dd-mm-yy, for example on the lockscreen. The next time, in the calendar app for example, it's yy-mm-dd (no matter what system setting is set). Very...very....very annoying, could be a dealbreaker for me, when both month and day are <12
