In official statements made during the presentation of MIUI 8, It talks of a battery increases, in my RN2 prime it lasts much less

Maybe it is developed for new phones?

Io installed yesterday on my Mi5 (dirty flash 'cause didn't have time to restore everything) and so far so good!
No FC , no reboots or errors, nothing. Everything is just smooth and perfect as it should be.
It might just be a little more energy expensive then V7 but i can't say that for sure since I've only made one charge since I've updated.


Yes, there isn't the V8 calculator but there's the V7 one (don't know if it should be there or it's there because I've dirty flashed) and you can download whatever calculator you like just going around the play store, so...

so on my Mi4S it looks great with some problem though...
1. memory management seems not that good yet
2. fingerprint scanner is definitely slower than on MIUI 7.3.2.0
3. screen is sometimes not responsive.
4. I can't find phone encryption anywhere in the settings

but apart from those 4, it looks really good!

It is included in the Miui v7 list.. The same should be continued in v8.. My wish list..

Yeah the reason it's not on the list anymore is probably because support is dropped. So you won't see MIUI 8 from xiaomi.eu then.

How long should the MI logo and then running dots be on the screen? It's taking a very long time, I'm starting to scare out....

On my Note 2 it took over 2 hours..

In xiaomi redmi note 4g (dior) the numbers of the clock (in lookscreen and homepage) are so big

I can confirm this.

HM2XTDPro_6.6.17_v8-5.1 does not work on Redmi 2 2014813. It gets stuck on the bootscreen with white MI logo (only MI logo, no android at and dots at the bottom). This occurs even after a full wipe (dalvik/cache/data). Using TWRP 3.0.0

HM2XTD_6.6.17_v8-4.4 works fine on 2014813, so I guess we are stuck on MIUI8 KitKat for now.

It works ! 4.4 ! 5.1 no !! Please solve this Big BUG to move this device from 4.4 to 5.1

So let me see if I understand correctly - for my device:

- there's miui8 for 4.4 and for 5.1, but the 5.1 is faulty and does work at the moment? (I'm on miui7 5.1);
- for root, all devices must now install SuperSU? (this device still had native root until now)

i just wanna know...one thing.. that TWRP doesnt allow OTA Updates to be flashed

so how do we flash them?

is there any way to recieve and flash OTA Updates via TWRP Recovery ...

Miui 8 on Redmi note 3 pro is fantastic.
It frees up to 1.7 gb or ram. Previously was at 1.4 gb

Installed Hermes on RMN 2 Prime, Freeze on Lockscreen, Sim Card not detected, Crashes and Reboots. Back to 6.6.26. Miui 7. Will wait now, 'till it's better.

updated my redmi2td with HM2XTDPro_6.6.17_v8-5.1 without wiping anything and it works perfectly. looks nice.
