Mi4c. One day of use. ROM works smoothly and fluid. Some new features, some different and yet to miss any old feature that might have been removed. Split screen is a nice new addition. Can't really tell if it's faster but it does feel that way. The device is heating less than with previous ROM (MIUI 8.6). And I haven't experienced any of the bugs that some Mi4c owners have reported.

Mi5 user, just updated to MIUI9, I think they just reduce the animation time and call it "Black tech, explosive fast", what a lie!

They did just that. If you go under developer options you can actually see animation speed set to 0.5x as default, where it should be 1.0x as always.

I had to check that because I was having headaches!

On 1x it`s similar to 8 but more bearable for the eyes
