Reboot the phone and check for GPS. There is definetely something wrong, compared to miui 8, but usually reboot fixes it for some time.

The Mi5 may have problems with GPS, but the satellites are catching well. My Mi5 has a problem with the location, from time to time determines the coordinates as 0.0. I close the navigation program and switch off GPS for10 sec. then switch on. On MIUI 8 I had not such issue. No one helped.

After testing for 2 weeks I don't find any exeptional draining, by normal use it lasts 3 days!

I get 2h/2h30 of SOT. I cant get a full day.
Yes i do have mobile data an bluetooth always on (GPS OFF) but i assume it would last longer
