I'm afraid to flash this to my mi5s. Are the battery drainage problems solved? Device getting hot? Android system using too much battery ?

Any feedback on Capricorn device will be welcomed.

Battery drain seems to be gone. Notification led is dead! For now no other bugs found
Edit: battery drain and lags are back!

The password options are still gone.
It is no longer possible to set a timeout for the password in the lockscreen!

This is annoying to enter the password a hundred times a day.


VPN connect using L2TP / Ipsec PSK stops working.
The last Android 7 betas still worked, same settings!
PPTP works.

I've noticed while perusing odd threads in XDA that some folks have had problems with "persist.img", affecting sensors, and with the "efs" partition, affecting radio settings, IMEI, etc.

How are these thingies related to a Xiaomi.eu rom?

1. Not at all, completely outside?

2. Part of, I.e. replaced everytime you flash a rom?

Obviously the IMEI are unique to each phone.

All necessary component included in the ROM, same as in case of official Miui releases

If you are a Mi6 user, install Arnova v7-beta9.
Change camera resolution to 16:9 or you get blackscreen regardless you have the lib fixes or not

I wanted to tell you that you are great, really fantastic guys, unfortunately I can not install the latest update (8.3.29 Oreo) on my MI MIX (lithium) as I always do, ie I download the file on my phone and from updater I do everything. Not this time! Can someone please help me???

Update your twrp to 3.2.1 raupe then clean flash it.

Find the 3.2.1 raupe twrp from page 2 in this thread (my comment with instructions).
Flash it throught fastboot then boot to it and flash 8.3.29

Confirmed same here. No that issue if face unlock disabled...

- System hangs
- take a look Screenshot, with taskmanager, 3C or other
- I reinstall Oreo again

Updated Mi Mix1 to 8.3.26, the last ! Android 7, seems to be fine. Simple wipe, nothing special done.

Still using Raupes last TWRP, which I assume will not work with Android 8.

Will not try for Oreo now, this is my working phone, but I might try it on the Mi Note 2 tomorrow

Flashed camera2.api & Dolby Atmos, both Mi camera and *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* still work, haven't had time to compare them.

Eh, why do I only get to vote once when I'm doing 4 phones.
