So I have a question:
I tried to enter recovery (of the Mi 10 Pro) and the passcode failed (though I keyed in correctly). I read that I have to delete locksettings.db. Same problem but I couldn't unlock after normal boot-up. I entered recovery (still asking passcode) and I wiped cache and dalvik.

My phone could boot up but I couldn't launch any app. It says "Wait until your device is fully rebooted before opening Apps". It's been an hour and I still get the same message. Any idea what I could do?

Alternative is to format the phone via TWRP. I can't factory reset because Settings keeps force close.

I had the same issue. Just do a full wipe not only cache. Then I copied the stable ROM to a USB and installed via OTG.

If I remember correctly, go to Advanced wipe and select all apart from the OTG. Your are trying to install EU Stable right?

As I remember, you need get into : Wipe > advanced wipe, then tick on.
- Dalvik / ART cache
- Data
- Cache
- Systerm

These steps will clear all "old datas of previous rom" to make sure there's no conflict after install. By the way, which version you guys are using? TWRP and EU rom version?

wipe your persist partition in TWRP
Any chance to elaborate a little bit more on this? Is it safe to wipe persist.img without losing any more information? I would also like to see SafetyNet pass again without root. Thank you!

Everything is ok with the phone with the stable 12.0.13.0 , except :
- No Safetynet pass ( but ok i don't use Google pay ;) ) but all my banking applications are working
- I can not have 4G+ signal with my phone provider ( Belgium) it looks like this band is not supported on the phone , i stay at 4g but not crazy !! it is not full signal, 2-3 bars...after it falls on 3g+!!
That's a little bit sad !!
Hope it will goes better in a few times with the 5g !!

I have a dumb question, but I have tried my best to find answer, which most of the time ended up with full wipe.

I have the TRWP inofficial recovery from Mi10pro installed. My problem is the password upon entering recovery. It always failed even if I entered it correctly, and the sdcard stays encrypted. Which also means I can't flash anything from recovery.

Is there a solution for this?
- I've tried deleting the locksettings.db, which makes all my app stuck on "wait until rebooting is complete" issue, which I have to full wipe
- reflash the recovery from files in this thread and also tried the one from mifirm.net, doesn't solve the issue.

Hello,

That's not a dumb question. ;)

You need to know that on Android 11 ROMs, you have to use a "pattern" (not a password or a pin) for unlocking your device and so to be able to decrypt /data partition in TWRP (it will ask your "pattern").

:)

Thanks! I'll try using pattern later.

It is still ok on numbers too in A11 as a lock password.

I have been using numbers. It didn't work.

I've always used numbers and just enter number in twrp on the weekly updates when I enter twrp. It decrypts and allows me full Access

When you enter twrp via update, yes update can be flashed. But if you see the logs behind, it says decrypt failed.

When you entered recovery manually, it will say decrypt failed and can't access the storage (everything encrypted)

Anyway, pattern works. ;)
