My question is how I can Install TWRP permanently inside the phone ?
Hi
Today I Install the last weekly rom 12.5.2 for the Mi 11 Ultra via My pc and fastboot mode to enter in TWRP recovery.
My problem is that I can't install the TWRP in my phone : after runing powershell or CMD I have this result :
PS C:\adb> fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
target reported max download size of 805306368 bytes
sending 'recovery' (196608 KB)...
OKAY [ 5.229s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: (recovery_a) No such partition)
finished. total time: 5.236s
PS C:\adb>
I need help
My mi 11 ultra will be unlocked on Tuesday, and before i install 12.5.4 i could directly install 12.5.7. because i dont want to install twrp....No idea, but why do you need one ?
Same here, I already share the instructions of TWRP installation on the Mi 11's TWRP thread since first day of the new instruction released. xDAfter all the posts asking for instructions on how to flash using TWRP I ask myself: why did I write a detailed guide

Why would you not want TWRP? Do you want to install each update manually? My mi 11 ultra will be unlocked on Tuesday, and before i install 12.5.4 i could directly install 12.5.7. because i dont want to install twrp....

Good question, i will keep my mi 11 ultra for 5 or 6 months and then i will sell it. And i thought it would be easier to reset my phone with fastboot rom instead of removing twrp etc?Why would you not want TWRP? Do you want to install each update manually?

And also i want to wait for official twrp, not these what came out days agoWhy would you not want TWRP? Do you want to install each update manually?

You can do it, but it does make sense only if you don't want latest xiaomi.eu roms Latest stable and latest weekly already include TWRP so you don't have to inject it. Just`fastboot boot twrp.img` and install your rom, that's all you need to have a persistent twrpDo I need to do this step:
"Go to "Advanced" and select "Onekey inject TWRP" in order for the TWRP to persist when I go into recovery?
what are you doing ? you dont need fastboot rom version if you have twrp
1. download the rom version 12.5.7 to your pc
2. start your phone not in recovery and not in fastboot, start it as always
3. copy 12.5.7 rom zip file from pc to your phone with usb
4. power off your phone and start it in fastboot (power and vol-)
5. open cmd and switch to the folder with fastboot.exe
6. the twrp.img should be in this folder as well
7. fastboot boot twrp.img
8. twrp should be displayed on your phone
9. change the language in twrp (the lower right button)
10. click on install in twrp
11. navigate to the folder where you have copied the 12.5.7 rom version
12. install it
In most cases you can copy the file from pc to the phone while you have started twrp
PS: on monday I can unlock the bootloader on my mi11 ultra and I will see if it will be a challenge
So for future updates I'll still have to connect my phone to the PC and then use the fastboot to boot the twrp. Nothing wrong. What am i doing wrong. sir?
You cannot use a fastboot ROM on twrp. Sorry.I am using Mi11 (not pro or ultra). Am using Stable 15.5.5. (RKBCNXM)
The only new Rom for me to download, is the one that is for "fastboot-method".
How to install it using TWRP? Unpack it and move "Images"-folder to root of phone?
Or just wait untill the non-fastboot update arrives for Mi11?
And is it safe to already install TWRP, using the injection-method described here?
9, Connect your phone via USB and transfer the (unzipped) ROM to the root folder of your phone.
I've just upgraded to 12.5.7 and my banking apps start to crash. I checked safetynet and seen it failed. Is this normal?

After installing the rom, you just need to wait 24-48 hours, the device will be certified by google. No factory reset requiredJust wanted to share that safetynet is fine now and my crashing apps are solved by factory reset. Still on 12.5.7 and all good.
