Hello everyone, I bought myself Mi 11 Lite when I was in China, obviously, it had Chinese ROM. When I attempted to install/flash global ROM on my device, something went wrong ( I assume my cable just got disconnected in the middle of flashing) my fastboot screen got replaced with a black screen and the phone no longer shown any signs of life (can't turn it on, doesn't get charged, and can't get into fastboot mode). I searched all over the forum and couldn't find specific information on how to bring my device back to life. How can I resurrect it without fastboot mode on my phone?
Please share any of your own experience, and ask me any questions if you have them:)
P.S. the device is unlocked and I was installing official global ROM for mi 11 lite

1. Is there a charge in your phones battery.
2. Does your device accept a charge.
If those two are true, then you know that the phone is still operational, otherwise you may have short circuited the motherboard and you phone is now a paperweight.
3. That "black screen" may actually be EDL mode. If your phone is booting into EDL mode, then all you need to do is connect it to you PC, verify that in Windows Device Manager your device is seen, It should appear as Qualcomm HS USB Qdloader 9008 , under the ports entry. After that, use the MiFlash tool to flash the rom as usual. Your phone should be detected as Comm 3 when you choose the refresh option. Flashing procedure is the same at this point.
4. If this doesn' work, The back needs to be removed and you need to access the PCB test points and create a closed circuit between those to placing your phone in EDL mode. You would then flash as normal using the EDL process described above. If you are unsure of this process, I highly recommend taking you device to a trained service technician for this procedure.

I'm not sure of the two points that you've mentioned, there's nothing telling me that the phone is charging. The service technician that I've gone to see told me that the phone is in EDL mode, however, he couldn't do anything about it without an "authorized account for mi flash". I then went to an official Xiaomi service center where they completely refused to deal with ROM and other stuff (if they can't help me, who can??). When I try to flash my device in its current state, there's an error popping out saying "can not read from port COM5", by the way yesterday it was COM3, today morning COM4, and now its COM5.

I had a similar experience with my Mi 11. After successfully flashing the eu weekly, it was no longer charged. The battery was empty overnight and the cell phone was switched off. It could not be charged or switched on. It was no longer recognized by the PCIt could not be charged or switched on. It was no longer recognized by the PC. I sent it back after two days of unsuccessful attempts under warranty, and after 3 weeks I received a completely new one.

The test points location is slightly different on every Xiaomi phone. I am surprised that the Xiaomi certified tech would "deal with it", as that is there job. Do you have a registered Mi Account that is bound to your device when it was originally unlocked?

yes, I had a registered mi account bound to my device, and it is truly very weird that they refused to fix it, I think they said something about them being prohibited to work with flashing, prob some kind of xiaomi rule that they have to follow...

Hello,

I don't know why you tried to install a Global ROM instead of a Xiaomi.eu ROM here...

Now you can contact a "EDL Unbrick" paid service (~40 €) via Telegram, like @Angeluss69 or @*spam*paid*service*.

Never heard that before. I know that they are prohibited from flashing for phones that might be stolen, but if your account shows that that device is bound to your name they should be able to perform the flash for you or RMA your device to Xiaomi for repairs. After all, the device is still under warranty from Xiaomi and unlocking the bootloader and flashing doesn't void the warranty.

I asked *spam*paid*service* to help, but then he (for some unknown to me reason) asked for my phone's IMEI (he then didn't explain to me why does he need it) and...yep...that's where we ended our discussion...even though I had really big hopes that he will be able to help

I never used one of these "EDL unbrick" services but *spam*paid*service* is the most known one. :)

But if you want to speak to one person, try @Angeluss69, he's a nice guy. ;)

I used him (*spam*paid*service*) and he never asked for my IMEI. He wouldn't need it for an EDL flash, he just uses a certain miflash version and his credits / authorised account details ( wherever he gets that from since Xiaomi stopped system wide EDL flashing a couple of years ago). He flashed Global from my unusable Stock Chinese and I then flashed EU but this was back before twrp versions.

Those EDL unbrick guys are a bunch of scam artists in my opinion. If the local Xiaomi dealer can't or won't help you fix your phone, have them return it to Xiaomi or contact them directly yourself. The phone is still under warranty.

Try https://www.mi.com/global/support/contact/ Mi.com and contacting them. Your phone is still under warranty. They should be able to help you.

*spam*paid*service* works honestly and does its job well . the imei is needed in order to check the necessary information for the procedure

The reason there is no flashing from EDL, many devices were being stolen and then people were either using the phones or re-selling these phones. It prevents phones with an locked bootloader from being flashed via EDL.These are primarily China phones being flashed with a Global rom. However, from what I read one should still be able to flash the original China rom or if they can access fastboot, use the MiUnlock tool to unlock their bootloader. The user needs to have a valid Mi account and that account is bound to the devices IMEI number. If that device has been reported stolen, it is blacklisted and the only hack is to have a patched programmer file replace the current programmer file in the fastboot version of the file. The EDL no flashing policy also stops third party buyers, which buy their phones in bulk, and reselling them for less in global markets. The China Variant is significantly cheaper than the Global version despite the fact that the hardware is the same. For example, Giztop right now has the Mi 11 Ultra (china version 12/256) at $999, while the global version sells for $1300. So combined with the week long wait policy and inability to bulk unlock, most of the dealers can't afford to make large bulk purchases and have them sit around while they would have to wait weeks on end to unlock, flash and then sell them. So the majority of dealers now sell the two variants, Global and China (with a few other variants like EEA, India and Indonesia). That slowed third party resellers from undercutting them. However, the unlock policy and no flashing policy is moot if you unlock your phone the right way in the first place.

Hi guys,i have the same problem BUT it happend alone when i was updating my China rom phone Xiaomi mi11 lite 5g, i try to flash it with original flashtool even with my mi account with no luck (Phone is black screen , no charge ,nothing. connects on Edl starts the flashing prosses and dont passs EDL auth).
